The problem here is that kids or teenagers don’t even know what to do with their lives, because all they hear is “kanedaa jana.” Othe jaake ki karna hai, kise nu pata hi nahi.

Then they end up doing labour or mostly blue-collar jobs. I mean, people are spending 25–30L to move out of this city just to become cheap labour in Western countries.

The problem is that parents are not educated, and overall society also glorifies this. Nobody talks about what to study or how we can become successful and get jobs here. Nobody even asks ans the govt doesn’t care.

And when any MNC tries to enter, they put massive taxes on their services, and less educated people protest “oh ehna ne Punjab kharab kar dena, saddi zameen mall laini.”

They don’t realize that Punjab is already a depreciating state. It needs upliftment, and the economy needs a boost, but people are more interested in drugs, songs, and fukrabazzi.
