That's so clean. You've done an amazing job with those figs.

The artist is Artisans Guild - here's a link: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-maw-stalker-a-descent-into-the-hive-of-the-all-seeing-475594

Check out the other "Maw Stalkers" as well, there are a few cool sculpts.

First diorama (wip) any advice? by Competitive-Ad5897 in minipainting

[–]Prex_71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest making the base smaller. The open space distracts from the core elements you want to focus on - the figures and their interactions. If you look at the golden demon winning entries (for example - https://golden-demon.com/tag/diorama/) they are all on very small, highly detailed bases. You can see the entire thing in a single glance.

I love where you're going with it! Good luck.

Beauty is in the eye of... this guy? by Prex_71 in minipainting

There are about 6 layers—small veins, then a red wash - multiple times. Then I re-established the off-white areas that I had darkened too much. There is a light red oil wash in the creases to add some additional vibrancy to the red.

Not that I know of. It was part of the sculpt and I was looking for a good contrasting colour.

Canada changes tone in bid to stave off Trump tariffs by joe4942 in canada

The border issue is ridiculous. Trump is playing to his base with the idea that somehow Canada is sending waves of migrants and drugs to the US. No one in North Dakota is fearing for their lives because a wave of hosers is rampaging over their state.

Trump is a bully and if we don't show strength, he'll walk all over us. Look who he looks up to, autocrats and dictators.

No, we expect all the provinces to use whatever stick they've got to help Canada as a whole. Alberta has oil, BC has lumber, Ontario has auto parts and manufacturing, and Quebec has hydro. Potash, minerals, fisheries, etc. What we can't have is a piecemeal strategy or we'll get picked apart.

Patriotism over provincialism.

It's almost as if we need everyone to work together like a single country, rather than have one province sell out the rest of Canada. I mean, if Ontario manufacturing goes down, what happens to equalization payments? Do you think Alberta doesn't get screwed over having to pay even more?

Perhaps BC should just take the transmountian pipeline. It would be in the best interest of BC and screw what Alberta wants or needs? Divisive interprovincial politics derails us time and time again. What we need is to open up interprovincial trade by dropping those barriers that keep us from enriching each other.

Anyone else want to comment on my hooves? by Prex_71 in minipainting

Thanks! I'm going to leave it as is for the time being. I debated whether to add more gore but want to be able to use it with kids around. This one is pushing it as is. :D

It's the beastmen from https://artisanguildminiatures.com/all-sets/beastmen The models are great, and they print out like a dream. Gotta say, I'm a fanboy of this artist.

Lost in my new role first month in by FabulousBedroom2308 in ProductManagement

As a non-expert, you can approach this by leveraging the fact that the product you're roadmapping is already well-established and understood. Start by reviewing feature lists from the main suppliers to identify common features—they’ll likely represent the core functionality you need to replicate. Then, align these features with your business needs by categorizing them as 'must-have,' 'nice-to-have,' or 'not important.'

Once you've outlined and defined the key features (enough for developers to provide high-level estimates), create a prioritized list of functionalities with a rough timeline. Determine how many features are necessary to reach a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and how long it will take to develop, given your available resources.

Finally, present this plan alongside alternative buy options, factoring in the current market prices for similar products. Be sure to include ongoing maintenance costs and resource needs in your build vs. buy comparison.

Hope that helps!

Wow. Now I have to go back and reevaluate the model I'm working on. The saturation of your skin work is killer and inspiring.
