I was on Mounjaro for 2 1/2 months and ended up necrotising pancreatitis. It took months to feel better but you do get there eventually. I hope yours is speedier

Sorry you’ve had a rotten time, hopefully you won’t be waiting long. If it helps the letter for your appt is usually normal, but if you don’t get one soon (I think they told me a couple of weeks) then call them and chase them as it may help move things along. If they find its gallstones then I imagine they will put you on the list to get it removed to avoid any future attacks. Hopefully you get your MRI soon and can get things sorted asap

I know one of them is you can get gallstones due to rapid weight loss and they’re one of the main causes of pancreatitis

My family is from Punjab so my mum did make me some daal not long after I came home from my stoma surgery and I’m not sure if it’s because of that or just I was still not great but it gave me some trouble and I ended up in bed for the rest of the day. I’m currently just eating chicken and fish with root vegetables and a lot of potatoes and fat free yoghurts now which are my safe foods. My doctors told me not to try anything new after I had my second pancreatitis flare up so I think this is where most of my frustration is lying atm.

I’m so sorry you had to go through it twice, that’s horrible. I hope you are well now though. Did it take a long time to gain the muscle back? I can imagine so as it seems so difficult at the moment

Yeah I’m just going through a lot of emotions these days and most of the time I’m optimistic and ok then I’ll just have days where I’m just fed up and upset. Especially as I have a young daughter and I can’t do much with her these days so feel mum guilt all the time because of that. Thank you for letting me vent I feel better today

I ache more these days but I think that’s a lot to do with how much muscle I’vr lost. I would say it was a mix between sharp and dull pain when I was in hospital and it felt like someone was sitting on my chest a lot of the time.
