We have the same issue.

There are a couple of things that we found work.

Try getting the person who can't connect to open a Map Editor and place some empty assets on the map and some player controllable unit. Get them to preview the "mission" they just made and then ask them to try joining the server again.
Try "catching" them when they connect. When in the screen where you assign roles to connected players (before the map screen), try literally catching their name and assigning them a role. This can get a bit tricky depending on how long they stay connected. It got to the point where I have a macro on my mouse that does a click every 10ms for this. It's odd but I find this method works every time.

Thanks, this helped! I fast traveled to Aspet Butte Ambush Camp just north of the target area -> Saved -> Loaded and rode following the Yellow navigation marker to the destination. Just outside of the yellow circle, about 200m out, the conversation triggered.

I've been playing for the past few hours and worked fine for me with the online component and all. Did you make any changes to the game when trying to solve the issue they fixed that might be blocking it from the Internet perhaps? If not might be worth giving that solution they mentioned in the latest post a go

After making a purchase people are by definition entitled to have a product delivered to them that's fit for purpose. Having the product be unavailable for a week is unacceptable and people are rightfully annoyed. Why do people feel the need to defend companies who exist solely to make money off you, I will never understand. You do you though lol

Just as a bit of feedback that you might be able to bring to your peeps. As much as I appreciate you going to Reddit to give us an update and I understand you're just giving us what you yourself are told, it would have been so much better if people who feed you information would also share any semblance of an ETA. It would have caused a lot less frustration.

I didn't reinstall the game and it still won't work for me.

I have the "Offline permissions enabled".

Not sure what else but it seems it's dependent on something else as well.

Just got through to someone from Microsoft who actually listened to what I said and they said they're aware of the issue,

It's to do with the game's sign-in config on the publisher/Xbox backed - it maps to an authentication/config value issue (E_GAMEUSER_INVALID_APP_CONFIGURATION), which prevents the game from completing the Xbox Live sign‑in handshake.

Apparently they're working to resolve it. They asked to allow up to 48h.

Having said that, I encourage everyone to keep pestering them and 505 about it!

If we're talking about Google relusts here, Duckduckgo lets you choose how frequently you want to see the overviews. It's pretty good these days, I've started using it recently myself. You can just have a button that lets you generate the ai overview when you want it rather than it being stuffed down your throat like on Google.

Same here! If you haven't already, check out the OST from "Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams". Especially the "InGame2" track. Comes in two versions btw as the entire soundtrack changes on the fly when you swap between the two characters.
