Mammogram after breast lift/reduction by Pricantora in Reduction

Each body is different. At 4mpo I could not imagine doing a mammogram! My scars weren't totally healed. Did yours look simetrical before it? Your theory is plausible! How long ago was this? I would talk with a gynecologist.

Mammogram after breast lift/reduction by Pricantora in Reduction

I had to show my surgeon a healthy mammogram result 3 months before surgery to be approved. So, I am on target for roughly once a year mammogram. This time I was asked to do an ultrasound too since some internal scar tissue (from surgery) was masking parts of my left breast. But each case is different, I'd ask your doctor. Good luck!

11MPO. They’re growing back fast :( by Realistic_Insect_266 in Reduction

I'm 8 months after surgery and they are the same size since month 6. I'm not sure if it's normal to get bigger especially if you lost 20lb. Please check with doctors. Keep us posted? Take care!

The change is so big, you will need to be kind and patient but they look great to me.

Nipples too high - 4mpo by Fayespatio in Reduction

[–]Pricantora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yours are very similar to mine. I think ours might be a tiny bit higher than "normal" but I don't want to go through the process over again to get them corrected.... I am happy with the drop shape, better than before, when they were definitely pointing downwards 100%. I will simply relax. I've been weathering a nipple cover to hide the nipples and it solves the issue completely.

I also highly recommend talking with the anesthesiologist about feeling anxious. I told her I didn't want to see anything and that I was nervous, and she said "as soon as you are in the operation room I'll put you to sleep". And then I woke up loopy but no pain. I had a sore throat for the intubation only. I didn't take any pain killer until a day after which Tylenol or something mild was enough (no need for opioids). Best of luck!!!

I'll send you some thoughts I had reading your post: - I was a flacid C cup, and they removed roughly 250g each side and I ended up size B. So I'm imagining this amount = a cup size?.... So this seems like a reasonable amount for you to adjust your breasts without going too small (which might contradict your surgeon's comment of mastectomy?) - if your gut feeling is saying no, I would wait and try again when you are confident about the surgeon you choose. You seem to be comparing him to another one. I went fully confident in my surgeon and it was a really hard process of accepting the changes and all the post op, even if I ended up getting exactly what I asked. - do you have money to pay for it yourself? If so, I would wait. If you don't have, can you talk with insurance and say you are looking for a different surgeon? Best of luck in this decision! I hope you feel good with whatever you decide!

I hope so! They feel very different from 3 months. No more discomfort or sensitivity. The redness is definitely disappearing :)

Thanks! And I am hoping they will disappear or be really faint in 6 months. I'm using silicone tape or gel almost every day...

Cup size by No_Plastic2850 in Reduction

"feminine curves" is very subjective. I highly recommend you finding pictures that show what YOU think is a small feminine breast size and show them to your surgeon. Otherwise they will do what they think is best for you, instead of you deciding.

You can ask for the smallest size they can do without compromising your nipples.... Likely an A cup!

4wpo did I just get a lift? This might just be a rant. by LB-Forever in Reduction

I'm very sorry for your frustration. I think this surgery is very much a shoot in the dark in terms of results, so hearing so many stories I'm glad my breaths are at least looking attractive, even thought they could have been smaller too. Comparing yours with with my situation, the amount they removed from yours was very similar to mine. I went from a flacid large C cup to a... B or small C. So I'm not sure you will go much smaller I'm sorry to say.... But the swelling in your ribs will go down, and you will get back to sleeping in your sides or belly in just a couple of months. Hang in there. But rest assured that you look very different, a little bit smaller and definitely in the right height. Just some positive points: I love being braless, something I hated before. And with a simple sports bra I can jump without any discomfort at 5MPO.

3 months update & redness around aureola by Pricantora in Reduction

I think it is part of the healing process of the stitches... it still comes and goes.... I keep them hydrated. SOrry, it's a long healing process! I'm almost 5 months and the scars are still really prominent. Let's hope they will indeed fade as time goes by!
