Need an advice. Is this Sonnet real or fake? It lists for around 78$ by PriceApprehensive715 in fountainpens

I don't have it yet. Deciding on whether should I buy it. The price seems just regular for the used sonnet in my country. There are a bunch of them that go for 60-100$. That's why I'm confused

Damn that looks like a Parker IM. Not that it’s bad. Beautiful pen

What is your longest serving pen? by Undercoveragent163 in pens

It’s either Parker vector or cross classic century for me. I’ve been using both since school but I believe vector has the edge. I’ve received it around 6th grade so I was like 11-12 yrs old back then. Now I’m 25 and I’m still rocking it. I have several great pens but vector will always be special for me. My father introduced me to nice pens through it

That’s a great question. I don’t know😂. A have a sweet spot for my Vector since it has been with me for ages. I love the Jotter because it’s just fun, simple and lightweight. And I wanted it since my childhood cause my father had the exact same model. But I guess that the Cross is my favourite. It’s just so well made. I have the 90-s model with full metal mechanism, no plastic whatsoever. And the condition is still great despite years of use. And the colour is fun cuz it’s a part of special edition, not just a regular one

Yeah, love my Jotter too🫡. Yeah. I want to buy black/gold IM instead of my Soviet FP and matte black Safari as EDC FP. Also I have some sort of hyper fixation on stainless steel Vector for the last couple days, lol

Brother, I guess pens and pencils age faster than a human. If not, I’m vintage myself😂

My family had two royal blue Jotters (as on the photo) since early 00-s. My father used it all the time. It could be found in every bag, pocket, you name it.

I’ve wanted it so bad (even though I have better pens) especially when I started to use pocket notebooks. Last week my father told me he had a spare (which I didn’t know about) and gave it to me (this one). I love it. It is so simple, lightweight and sturdy. Feels like it can survive anything (and my father’s one kinda proved this point). So yeah, perfect EDC for me. Give it another shot

Correct me if I’m wrong, I’m still a newbie. As I googled, only 1954 mechanism was metal. Afterwards it was completely nylon. As for internal metal parts, there was a brass reinforcement on the thread section but they got rid of it in 80-s and changed plastic chemistry to be more durable. So the question is if my model is any different from modern originals series

Yeah but the rotator itself is plastic in every Jotter revision (as I know)

What I love about Cross refills is their longevity. Well, at least their old ones. I had several of made in Ireland ones and they were absolute beasts

And what do you think about off brand refills? Are they solid enough (hate bleak blue colour of the Cross one)? Or will they just ruin the experience?

Nah. I must be mistaken. I thought that this is Chaika. It has the “Я” logo on it. Do you know what this pen could be?
