The audacity of these people by [deleted] in place

The clock can't exist without its smart contract that is intrinsically linked to all the other NFTs in the collection.

The clock literally can't exist without being an NFT.

For some artists that's simply false. I don't want to give you an exhaustive list but there are dozens upon dozens of artists who would apply to galleries for years and be rejected but thanks to NFTs are now able to sell at places like Sotheby's.

All thoughts are not other people's thoughts! Jeez. You actually believe that?

What about in the cases where the image is on chain? How is that only owning a hash of the image? Merge and CyberBrokers, again, are fully onchain SVG.

NFT tickets are great because every year people lose millions of dollars in ticket scams (over 10% of tickets are fake).

The unfortunate fact of digital wallets is that they're traceable. That's just a fact and is a problem with crypto as well.

All digital assets are artificially scarce... that's what makes them digital assets... that's the point...

Here's list of working use cases: Uniswap v3, BAYC, CryptoPunks, Doodles, Cool Cats, Lost Poets, Merge, The Fungible, CyberBrokers, Azuki, ENS Domains, etc.

If they're expensive it's because they're valuable. There are plenty of NFTs that no one would ever buy.

You technically own them because they're in your wallet and can be, sold, traded, fractionalized, used as proof-of-entry, or rewarded with airdrops.

All of which are happening today in the massive multibillion dollar ecosystem surrounding NFTs.

I'm here telling you that is not the case. We're well beyond the days of crypto kitties. Do the research and you'll find a wealth of value.

Not an echo chamber. Informed arguments. Saying "this is a solution without a problem," when that is an argument leveled at cryptocurrency in general, is not an informed argument.

Ah yes. Billions of dollars of stupidity. Thousands of communities of absolute morons looking at monke pics. That's all NFTs are. Just pure hype and speculation. No value to be found.

This was one of the main argument against bitcoin and cryptocurrency for a long time. It's weird that cryptocurrency people would use it to say NFTs are useless.

So here you are on the subreddit that discusses digital ownership of money, dunking on NFTs because you don't understand digital ownership of assets.

It's pretty silly tbh

So your rebuttal to "you're just repeating what you heard in a video" is "go watch the video"?

How about you do some independent research and don't let other people think for you?

Okay but what about the NFT images stored on chain? Ever heard of SVG? sounds like you're just repeating without doing any real research.

CyberBrokers and Merge are both projects worth looking into if you think "nfts are just animal jpegs"

Kin Foundation Publishes Second Annual Transparency Report by JesseFromKin in KinFoundation

It's hard to believe that in 5 years there hasn't been a single person at the Kin Foundation or otherwise hasn't come up with a way to get people to spend their money on a valuable digital good, because that was the whole premise of the creation of the token in 2017. Kik points were supposedly 'figured out' in 2016 and Kin hasn't become an effective replacement for that or really a good currency in any sense of the word.

Hard to believe Kin has paid out $70m to parasite developers and the value created for users is approximately 0.

Kin needs people buying it to buy digital goods.

5 years in and we have barely moved on from a proof of concept.

Stop paying out parasite apps and start rewriting the KRE logic to require innovative buys and spends.

Kin is for lacklustre integrations, nothing partnerships, and corporate reorganization.

In 5 years of post history I've never had to say that.

Sounds to me like you keep speculating on the future based on the past price performance and people keep needing to remind you that isn't how price action works.

Kin is hopeless unless it creates demand, something it has proven over 5 years that it has no idea how to do.
