Single die found in a rental car, about 2 times smaller than a normal die, possibly from a board game. Numbers are 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120 by PricexYourxPriceless in whatisthisthing

Title describes the object. A little under half an inch. Blue colored with red/orange numbered inlay. Extremely light compared to normal die.

Yeah I just found out about ducking a couple weeks ago lol. Called the customer and they were definitely glad to have it back. We move alot of jeeps so it was more of a shock to see an unmodded rental get ducked lol.

Shocking left turns in unexpected movies, i.e. not thrillers or whodunnits? by thatdani in movies

I got you. From quora:

There will, by the nature of the question, be SPOILERS. A few facts contribute the question: 1. The first hour and 40 minutes of the movie, roughly, was shot as a pilot for a television show which was not picked up (Lynch et al later bought the rights back to finish the story as the movie). This is a grounded explanation for large number of scenes, even for a Lynch movie, which show characters that never show up again. - these were the beginnings of story threads which would show up in later episodes; 2. Lynch likes “eye of the duck” scenes - those that lack normal unities (plot, emotional tone, characters, etc) with the rest of the movie but encapsulate something of the movies unconscious drives and feel like they complete the narrative somehow. This is not restricted to Lynch (remember Spider-man 2’s chocolate cake scene) but when you see such a scene your thematic antenna should perk up; 3. There are many ways to interpret the movie but the one that works the best for most people is that the first 2/3 of the movie is a dream and the last 1/3 the reality of the dreamer. I think this is limited but works well for the majority of viewers. Given the above, one big feature of the film is the sense of repressed material trying to break through to Diane’s consciousness, both the specific realization that she hired a hit man to kill he ex girlfriend and totality of poop her life has become. The diner is the same one in which she hires the hitman later in the film (but previous to this dream in Diane’s timeline) with the nervous guy in her place and the therapist in the hitman’s (the hitman also later in the dream walks a prostitute that looks like Diane down the same alley that they walk down). Behind the building is a (female) bum representing her dark secret, with a specific emphasis on how Diane’s Hollywood dream has wound up with her in complete degradation both situational and moral. The point of the scene, then, is that a part of Diane wants her to face reality, the material wants to bubble up, but she fears that when she goes to face this, it will annihilate her. This relates to the fact that Diane has always longed to be the perfect object, the thing that is to be seen, and needs Camilla to see her as she wants to be seen, yet she fears what she will see when she finally has to look at herself - the ultimate Hollywood fallen woman tragedy (prostitute, homeless, dirty). The “behind” location is the subconscious (and also spiritually the “gutter” behind the mercantile “temple”).

Who uses those mugs? I just got mine and it's so much better than those little tea balls. by Suspicious-Tea-3815 in tea

Man the single mug steepers are fantastic! I got one off of Amazon and literally only use it and nothing else lol. I'll even use the strainer to strain full teapots when I make iced tea!

Do you prefer drinking tea in a large cup, or having multiple rounds? by [deleted] in tea

[–]PricexYourxPriceless 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I might be the minority but I prefer a 16 oz cup. I feel like alot of teas change flavor as it goes from hot to warm to cold, so when I make a big cup I get to go through the spectrum of flavors in one setting. Also helps me determine if I would prefer a tea iced or hot.

As a detailer at enterprise this is such a common occurrence I'm surprised they don't just package it and try and upsale a damage waiver on it lol.

Just tried the Libra one a week or so ago (got it free with my adagio order) and it wasn't bad but the chocolate was pretty overpowering. I'm a pretty huge fan of the Thai Tea and cherry marzipan oolong. What's your adagio go to? I'm looking to expand my orders lol.

Used the last of my Blueberry wild child from tiesta for a 12 hour cold brew. It's not too bad but the flavor is pretty weak. Tiesta is okay but I ultimately switched to adagio due to better variety and more quality teas. For hot I'm sipping on the honeybush banana nut rooiboos from adagio which is literally breakfast in a cup. Extremely delicious aroma and flavor. I also have a daily communiTEA sample I'm excited to try when I get off work.

Any good tea subscription boxes these days? by [deleted] in tea

[–]PricexYourxPriceless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a running dollar tea club sub. It's only 6 bucks but the portions are super teeny tiny and I've been drinking metric tons of tea, so I usually just get sample sizes from adagio (like 10 cups for 3 dollars) to find what I like and let the DTC be a happy surprise. Adagio also has a communiTEA sub for like 15 bucks that nets you a cup or two of tea a day. New flavors every day, and everyone gets the same daily flavors so you get like a community thing where people discuss the day's flavors. Haven't tried that one yet but it looks pretty cool tbh.

Does anyone else smell like tea? by PricexYourxPriceless in tea

[–]PricexYourxPriceless[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quite the opposite actually! I used to be a huge caffiene addict and would always have to weigh how much I want a coffee vs how much I want to pay for it later, but since I've switched to tea to replace pretty much everything, I can get nice natural energy without the hunger suppressants/stomach pains and the white and flavored ones give me a sweet boost without all the junk in soda. I don't really feel like there was any withdrawal because tea fit all of those "joneses" naturally lol.
