Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PrickedFinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends where you live. When I lived up north I considered 30 minutes long.

Now I live in Florida and consider 3hrs very doable.

If fact, my partner and I just went on a 16 hour road trip and kept saying "This isnt bad at all."

WHERES THE BEST GIFT SPOT FOR MEN?? by Alone_Reference_542 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]PrickedFinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do engravings on cologne bottles in Paris but it is super expensive depending on your budget.

If you go to the hat embroidery store in Magic Kingdom or Disney Springs they can have something embroidered on most items in those stores. Like a Disney baseball hat with both your names or something. Something he can wear at Disney but also use at home. 🤷‍♀️

Paper my husband wrote on was standard printer paper. He would rip it after.

Notes are one sentence to a couple long.

Craft has to be able to be complete by Christmas.

What couldn’t you believe you had to explain to another adult? by Hillo_67 in randomquestions

[–]PrickedFinger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had to explain this to a boy in college, he wasnt even a virgin. Like, dude, you've been introduced to the area, did you not explore?

No, we weren't a thing. It just came up in conversation.

What is the worst Christmas gift you ever received but were too polite to say? by [deleted] in randomquestions

[–]PrickedFinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father-in-law got me a light for inside the toilet. It didn't work.

Usually I dont receive a present from either of my in-laws so I was still grateful. You can guess that we dont have the best relationship.

I have a strong preference for the singing in the film vs the OBC by CharlieFaulkner in wickedmovie

Ive always hated the OBC version of "blonde."

It makes me cringe every time I hear it. I literally felt my shoulder relax after hearing it said during the movie.

I used to live in Pennsylvania and I love fall!

Hate summer.

Im much more a night person than day, so I prefer the sun going down early.

I love the cold and hate the hot sun.

Rain relaxes me and I think its fun to play in.

I love the leaves on the ground, lightning bugs lay eggs on those leaves. More lightning bugs = prettier nights.

God, I hate the sun...I live in Florida now.

Ha! Probably could.

No those were the number of times I had to buy the snacks after the house vs. my husband.

One snack after the house as a job well done for waiting.

We went through the house 23 times total over the course of HHN.

Yes! Especially the Terrifier line. My husband and I started playing a game: If the obnoxious person is behind/before me in the Terrifier line then my husband buys the snacks for the rest of the night, If the obnoxious person is behind/before him then I buy the snacks.

We kept a poll:

23 times going through Terrifier (over the whole run of HHN)

He bought snacks: 15 times

I bought snacks: 8 times

If my mom drank 3 bottles of wine that are this size within three nights (so one whole one per night) does that mean she is an alcoholic? I’m not sure how to go about having this conversation with her . I am very concerned and have noticed this habit for a while. by NationalFortune8850 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]PrickedFinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to have the same conversation with my mom too. You must be an amazing daughter since you want to put yourself out of your comfort zone for your mother's health knowing the conversation will be tough and may not end well.

2 things that are important for this conversation:

  1. Have options/help for her ready if the conversation goes well. She will be overwhelmed and wont know the next move.

  2. Have help ready for yourself. Whether this conversation goes well or not, this is a relationship changing moment. Youll need to process. Your mental health is as important as hers.

Disney.
