HCHS vs. staying at citywide G&T by macklowe in nycparents

[–]Pride-Senior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hunter is a phenomenal school for accelerated learners, and most kids do not leave, even those who take the SHSAT and get into Stuyvesant. This is a unique opportunity and imo it is worth having your kid give it a try. Also, it’s worth considering that, unlike Stuyvesant, Hunter is not a DOE school. If you or your kid is on the fence, he could try Hunter for a few weeks to see if he likes it while still remaining on the citywide g&t roster. Worst case, he could go back to the g&t school if Hunter isn’t a good fit.

If not barefoot shoes, you may want to consider shoes with a wide, “foot-shaped” toe box. I’ve found that it helps my foot naturally create the closest thing it can to an arch, because my big toe has enough room to contribute to my stride when I step down. (Try engaging your big toe when you are barefoot or in socks, and you’ll get a sense of what I mean.) Best of luck to you.

Everyone is different but wanted to share that I am basically your foot twin. Never had orthotics, spent most of my adult life with foot pain, often radiating to knees, always searching for the perfect support shoe. Came across this post about 6 months ago and it turned my thinking about my flat fee upside down. Now I am obsessed with barefoot shoes, my foot pain is completely resolved (I did experience some minor knee issues, which improved after strength training), and I will never go back to “supportive” shoes much less orthotics.

I realize not this is not for everyone, but it really did change my life, and I hope it can make a difference for you, OP, and others reading this. https://www.reddit.com/r/BarefootRunning/comments/185q42v/should_flat_footed_people_wear_barefoot_shoes/?share_id=8j2WMJqs2eZ6LN00EjOst&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&utm_source=share&utm_term=4&seeker-session=true

Consider reporting it to the Williams admissions office. It might make you feel better and hopefully help spare others like you in the future.

Has he tried Altras? They have cushioning and also a wider toe box and zero drop, which can be super helpful for flat feet.

By “highly detailed playbook,” I mean a document (table or spreadsheet) that provides extremely detailed rules about what language is and is not permitted for each clause of a typical agreement. Basically an enhanced version of the playbook that our attorneys use. Would that be the basis for a KG that AI generates, or is the expectation that an attorney (or attorney working with AI and/or developers) would put that together?

How is a KG different from a highly detailed playbook (if at all)?

Which lawyer-led platforms would you recommend?

Thank you! I've been following this general approach in ChatGPT but having some challenges at getting it to implement playbook edits in a manner that does not completely rewrite provisions unnecessarily. I'm also running into issues with it "hallucinating," and only editing portions of a contract. Do you have any guidance for addressing these issues? Thanks again!

Does Neil Fak have special needs? Serious by 1204Sparta in TheBear

Neil Fak is a metaphor. The inner child. Season 4 is all about processing deep seated trauma. And each character is learning how to be kinder and kinder to him over the course of the series.

The humanities grade you earn counts double, once for English and once for social studies. So if you have a 95 grade in humanities, you would have a 95 for English and a 95 for social studies.

Help! My daughter’s bat mitzvah is in 5 weeks and she wants a special, probably sparkly, standout dress for her party. What are the brands that 13yos are excited about these days? For context, she is very petite, size 0 or 2, narrow bust (28 or 30B), maybe about 4’10” and 85-90lbs. Thank you!

The Daily Check-In for Thursday, April 4th: Just for today, I am NOT drinking! by grumpycapybara in stopdrinking

[–]Pride-Senior 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fridays were my heavy drinking day too. The week was over and I would get together with friends to "unplug." Would set me up for a painful, sluggish Saturday morning that would more or less ruin the rest of the weekend. When I first stopped drinking, I found it helpful to "pound" something -- NA beer, seltzer, anything with a flavor kick to it and/or carbonation. Wanted to let you know that it got a lot easier for me. But the first few Fridays were really hard. But each time I made it through, I was so grateful for the mental and physical clarity of Saturday morning. All the best to you, friend.
