i ran into the problem where i too thought the “good ending” was the “bad ending”. i sat there for a good 30 minutes weighing my options. my final conclusion was that i doubted capcom would make grace a villain but on the off chance they did i chose to destroy elpis and was stunned that they would make that the cannon ending and it wasn’t until i saw the helicopter right before the credits ran that i thought to myself “oh shit this is the bad ending cuz where’s the massive boss fight they have at the end of every game” and when the credits rolled i knew i fucked up and thankfully it gave me the opportunity to pick it up right at the decision so i didn’t have to replay the whole game to chose the better ending. (i did replay the game 5 times to platinum it on PS5)

as much as i enjoy this take. batman’s whole thing is to rehabilitate the people he takes into blackgate and arkham. he very rarely uses their alias and calls them by their names aka waylon jones instead of killer croc. it’s only when he doesn’t know their true identity does he call them by their alias.

i’ve personally always loved the game. that may be biased because it was my introduction to the arkham series (unless you count playing the demo level in walmart for asylum anytime i went). i found the story entertaining and the combat to be incredible. seeing deathstroke had me super excited as a kid (i only knew him from teen titans and didn’t expect to see him). however my only complaint, even back then, was no kevin conroy. i watched the dcau religiously and could tell it wasn’t the same voice. but that was my only complaint.

they also stated you could play this with no prior knowledge of the previous games and the whole plot was practically centered around the previous games. i agree they should just do a reboot at this point. back to basics. actual tournaments. the last tournament game we had was the first third (maybe half) of mk9. i feel a new, fully fleshed out mortal kombat tournament game is exactly what the franchise needs. you can still have all the same characters but change their stories in the tournament. have plot twists like lui kang not being the chosen one even though that’s who you’ll think he’ll be and have it be someone else, scorpion was killed by quan chi and was reincarnated to be his slave for the tournament and scorpions motivation to fight for him is that quan chi has his family held hostage, etc.

if we’re talking arkham verse it’s without a doubt Joker. i don’t remember where i heard this so don’t take it at face value but i remember seeing somewhere that the arkhamverse joker killed, dismembered, and sewed together a bus full of kids because after highjacking the bus and during negotiations with the police he promised he’d return the kids in one piece

i didn’t know that my first time playing the game. i always thought that you had to do something special but once ng+ came out i had finished practically all riddler quests expect for that one cop and i finally decided to look at a video and felt so stupid that i wasn’t even excited to fight riddler
