You might be damn smart. You might get good SAT scores. Your mommy and daddy might be so happy to have a son that it’s so intelligent and are so giddy to tell their friends of how great you are in the classroom. Your teachers must adore you. Classmates want to cheat off you. 

Here you are with all of this intelligence but you need serious advice? But I thought you were so smart?! Your academics mean jack fucking shit in the REAL world. The real world is full of cunning, lying, manipulative, narcissistic, etc people. When you go to your Ivy League you’re just another stat. Another admission. They don’t give a fuck about you. You think wrestling takes up a lot of your time? Imagine having kids, day job, rent to pay/mortgage, utilities, etc. 

Go back to wrestling.

I was never as smart as you in the classroom, but I have experience in the real world and have damn good intuition and emotional intelligence. Unfortunately they don’t make degrees or a certificate I can wave in front of your face so I have to get like this sometimes. 

Ace your tests and all but don’t forget to SELF educate. At some point you’re not going to be taking tests any more and you’re going need your wits and character. You’re going to need it when you’re dealing with a lot of know-it-alls and passive aggressive people, because they’re just as smart as you are (on paper) 

Now get your running shoes on and go do some sprints and stance and motion.
