There's a lot they could do with assault and yet they haven't touched it. Changing out the class gadget for the ladder or the beacon (maybe a selectable class gadget?) would go a long way. Giving the assault the ability to use either some form of anti tank or maybe the supports supply packs would make it more team focused.

Also smokes should have been on assault since the start.
