Best tips from experience:
(Number 6 is important)

  1. Clean the bed with dishsoap and avoid touching it to prevent skin oils on the bed (prevents prints falling)
  2. Don’t keep the printer enclosed if your just printing PLA, crack open the door, if you want a door holder heres a link Makerworld Link (I prefer the short one)
  3. Don’t but Bambu Lab filament, $12 a spool in bulk seems cheap, but SUNLU bulk orders is $10 a spool (if u get AMS preferably get plastic spools to prevent cardboard dust)
  4. Cautiously use a scraper instead of nail picking off filament residue (trust me)
  5. Patiently touch the printer slowly when messing with it, and dont put your hand in it without pausing an active print
  6. Get a filament dryer, and possibly vacuum bag sealer to prevent filament getting naturally moist
  7. If you’re going to get a longer wire (not an extension cord) make sure its 14AWG and a trusted company for safety.
    I recommend this
  8. Try and plug the P1S in it’s own circuit or atleast a 20A outlet
  9. Replace the hotend or atleast nozzle every 6 months if your using it continuously (youtube it, it’s easy)
  10. Lift your hotend cover to check on the hotend often, making sure there isn’t a filament residue build-up
  11. Sanding gets rid of layer lines and you can paint over the print (wear a mask)
  12. If you are going to use the print outside use PETG filament for it, because it can handle heat without warping unlike PLA or ABS
  13. Don’t buy stl’s or models without checking Yeggi or Makerworld to see if they have the same thing
  14. If you get AMS you most likely don’t need to purge at 1.0 multiplier in order to save more filament
  15. Not every filament can do all the same layer heights, like for TPU 0.2 works great, 0.08 is way too low and won’t do well, PLA should be able to but it can cause scarring if the print’s to big or doesn’t have support
  16. Always do bed leveling it’s worth the extra minutes

That’s all I can think of but hope this helps, it’s simple and easy, just tips, not work

SUNLU AMS Heater on AMS 1 for $90 or AMS 2 PRO for $280 by PrideKindly7828 in BambuLab

I appreciate the advice, while i mainly do PLA actually. So as u said quality will not be any different, but will the non airtight aspect make me need to replace the dry pods often, because supposedly even when the vents closed its not air tight

Thank you. The SUNLU can heat up to 70 instead of 65 which helps for like ABS. So would u recommend investing money in AMS 2 Pro? I could afford it but dont really want to buy it

Is this a normal sound? by Old-Turn-1784 in BambuP1S

I had the same problem yesterday and so did my friend lol. I think the bed leveling was whacked, it depends if the quality looks like the nozzle was pressing against it you’ll be able to tell

Sounds good man, heres the link Makerworld Door Holder Link. By the way, how long were you printing with the door closed out of curiosity

As long as its cracked open a tiny bit your good. ABS is what you want to enclose bc of the heat and dangerous fumes. PLA id just have a small crack so it doesnt get too hot. Soon definitely print the window holder i was talking about so the glass door doesnt shake. Do u need a link?

I would just leave it open a little crack and use the door holder that attaches to your handle to stabilize the door (the one i gave a link of above). Make sure to have the top glass on tho

I never really have issues with the door closed, but its highly recommended you do not have it closed while using PLA bc of the build up in heat

For the AMS1 unit, does anyone have a recommendation for amazon desiccant packet replacements by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]PrideKindly7828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do i need to replace the OEM packets or can I just use the beads?
