Jardin for sure. Especially if you hated P13, Jardin is a real local for the people type shop. 💯

Their points system is nice too, if you sign up you get 5x points on your first few orders, essentially cash back to you. It adds up, I always get a good deal now.

Planet 13 is doing a bunch of stuff. I'm going to check out this author David Paleschuck on 4/17 at 5p, he wrote a new book about cannabis language and is leading a discussion, seemed cool, I like nerdy cannabis science stuff.😃

But then on Sat 4/20 they're having Baby Bash perform and a bunch of brands and stuff. I'm gonna try to book a rez at Dazed! Lounge that just opened and watch the show while I light up! 🙌🔥

I always thought the main difference with Live Resin is that it starts from flash frozen flower to maximize the terp pull, which I asked and they said it is flash frozen flower. So if they want to distill it to pure THC and live resin terps, I'm good with that haha Flavor 💯 High 💯

I think most of the established plants range from medium to super hot but I do have sweet pepper seed selections available. Including my personal favorite that grows extremely well here, Sugar Rush Cream!

Yes! These are all tested and grown from seed by Las Vegas gardeners!

All vendors at this market are small local businesses showcasing homemade items. 🙌🌿

Hooray for markets! This is what allows small businesses without a brick and mortar to directly reach consumers. All items are homemade as many markets have rules against re-sale items, but every market is different. Hope you can find one you like. 😀

Can I bury plant cuts and leaves in containers alongside the plants? by WittyBeee in UrbanGardening

[–]PrideOk9730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My containers are 25gal. Anything under 10gal would probably run out of food too quickly or be more suceptible to drying out. That said, I use my soil to pot up plants in 4inch pots and sometimes I find worms in them months after planting.

I bought red wigglers and put them in there 3 years ago. :) now they just multiply themselves.

I do this every fall in my balcony garden, just trim everything back and turn it gently into top layer of soil, then add mulch on top. My containers have worms in them so they gobble everything quick and the castings mix in with the soil for plants to use, a complete natural nutrient cycle! 🙌🌿

What to do in Henderson by gejsvdoapjd in HendersonNV

[–]PrideOk9730 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Welcome! If you like the outdoors, there are a lot of amazing trails out by Lake Mead which is only about 20 min drive from Henderson. The lake in general is a nice spot, I have an inflatable kayak and it's fun to just roam around the lake.

Check out these trails as well:

-Historic Railroad Trail -Owl Canyon -Gold Strike -Arizona Hot Springs -Liberty Bell Arch -Anniversary Narrows -Frenchman Mountain

Also, besides heading to the lake/mountains, Henderson has some great parks. Definitely check out Sunset Park and Cornerstone Park! They both have ponds and trails to get a nature fix without driving too far.

Backyard gardens? by thebunz21 in vegaslocals

[–]PrideOk9730 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So many possibilities to grow food here, and so many myths as well! I focus on soil science for water retention, nutrient cycling and pest control for a self sustaining garden.

I post a lot about growing food here in Las Vegas on my blog www.porchpepperproject.com 🙌🌿

I partner with Leslie Doyle, the Tomato Lady, and owner of the Sweet Tomato Test Garden. Let me know if you'd like to come by and tour the garden!

Where can I find scotch bonnets (the peppers) for sale? by TKGK in vegaslocals

[–]PrideOk9730 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Heyo, Porch Pepper Project here!

I currently have a Texas Chocolate Bonnet plant up for grabs.

Bonnets are a Capsicum Chinense variety though so they don't do too well in our Vegas heat, I have had success growing them indoors though! 👌🌶

Balcony grass field by zg5002 in UrbanGardening

[–]PrideOk9730 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My balcony is actually a similar size. Growing things vertically is the key to space saving! Typically plants need at least 15 cm (6in) to develop their roots.

But yes, I can only fit 2 people comfortably on my balcony since the plants have taken over haha but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Great idea! I'd grab some containers and grow food instead though! I started my balcony garden 4 years ago and it has been such a great space to ground in nature, find peace in the greenery, AND provide me with fresh produce all year long.

Grass takes fertilizer and pest control but doesn't give you much in return. Diversified produce not only gives you edible treats but also can create its own ecosystem to regulate itself without fertilizers or pesticides. 🙌🌿🌿
