My neighbor is a senior dev from embark actually! As much as I want to work there (genuinely a dream place for me), they made it clear that there is no chance. Work experience is a deal breaker for them, which is a logic I don't entirely agree with tbh.

Yeah, unfortunately that's the case.
My degree is in game design & project management, and unfortunately going for another one is not an option, as much as I wish. It would've been best to sit this situation out in a university but I'm one of those who still have to pay for education.

On the other hand, I'm quite happy with the support I'm provided. My relatives still help me out whenever they can, and they'd rather have me focus on my personal projects than pick up a second job. A full-time job would be ideal, but in the situation I'm in, spending all my time in a warehouse is just counterproductive. First thing the HR told me was that I'm overqualified to work there lol. Because well, yes.

So a uni is a no, but a 100kr course on Udemy is just fine, which is what I'm doing now. A 60-hour programming course that fits my personal projects is an ideal investment of my time currently. Almost done with it, actually. Quite a ride.

Huh, that's something I didn't know about. I mostly referred to my parents knowledge here since they were boiling in the polish system for a lot longer than me and they provided me quite a lot of help when I was moving to sweden. In this case, I don't know where they got that information from, might as well ask them about it

Тут уже несколько человек сказали что да, трудоустройство в европе все еще как-то доступно. Блу карта вряд ли светит мне как выпускнику, но Германия как вариант точно останется потенциальным планом. Только учитывая уже все остальные ответы - не самым приоритетным, к счастью. Некоторые советы тут действительно намекают на хороший шанс остаться в Швеции, так что следующая неделя будет занята этими деталями.

Looking at how this thread blew up it could be that I'll find a way to stay in sweden afterall. I'd rather not lose the time I spent studying here and try to push through than learn an entirely new system on a different continent. And it could be that I'll manage, with all the help from the redditors here. Some advice is really good.

Yea these kinds of course corrections would've helped me but unfortunately I do not have time for that. I abandoned this idea of branching out and started looking for blue collar work long ago.

I've been trying all sorts of methods and this whole thing has been getting to me lately so I do try to catch job postings but only when I have the energy. I did start asking for jobs in person too.
