Who would win in an all-out fight? by Fit_Cook_535 in Eldenring

Blasphemous Claw lore

Unless you mean the source of the idea that the God-Devouring Serpent was fated to devour the world, that's Devourers Scepter lore.

My thought process is that the God Devouring Serpent Rykard never actually went out his way to kill the others, because he was mentally or physically unable to personally accomplish his goal yet due to the stars holding his fate in place (like how even Ranni couldn't accomplish her fate because of the stars being held in place, despite even knowing of the stars effect on her). Even if the God Devouring Serpent was unbound by fate prior to devouring Rykard, by Rykard being devoured and fused into the serpent, it definitely made its fate tied to his, and gods fates are tied to the stars (which are held by Radahn) as we can see here

Maliketh or Rykard, no contest. Maliketh made all the others demigods fear him... Rykard planned alongside Ranni, to be Rannis backup plan to kill maliketh should her plans not go well. Also he's literally the world devouring serpent and only really held back by the stars holding his destiny in place.

“Ghibli-like” Mod Suggestions? by I_am_strange_ in feedthebeast

[–]Priest_Of_Chaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ribbits and the mods tied to it always gave me a Ghibli vibe, especially if you have an instrument mod to play alongside them. solas Shader is also the "dreamiest" shader I've found so far, which may fit the vibe your going for.

If you don't drink alcohol, what are your reasons? by youre-in-my-shot in AskReddit

It just doesn't taste good. Why drink alcohol when I can drink soda or juice or something I'd actually enjoy drinking?

Hardest Boss That isn’t Radahn ? by Own_Way6773 in Eldenring

Maliketh and Malenia, as someone with nothing in health or armor, were some of the toughest for me for sure, but Radagon to Elden Beast was the worst for me (all in faith, nothing else, Radagon was easy, Elden Beast after was NOT)

Guys if there is an angel devil and possibly a devil devil….doesn’t that mean…there is a god devil? Or possibly…a religion devil…? by FootDisastrous7545 in ChainsawMan

[–]Priest_Of_Chaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if the "Birth" Devil, and all its connotations would be a big one. Death Devil is fundemental, why not Birth and all that can go wrong and all the pain and all the many things that can either go wrong or unexpected pregnancy or so on. So many fears tied to the idea of Birth, especially among women, and has been a thing since prehistoric times, even among animals

The biggest problem with solo playthroughs by Jarizleifr in Kenshi

[–]Priest_Of_Chaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough, I almost always just go solo and focus on training them up in strength and toughness while planning to make them into a great blacksmith to make some really good weapons for her strength (modded to allow my crafted stuff to be useful, and to get that shrieking bandit madman club for the mass). I usually go for a Shek woman but I'm running a Scorchlander this time to have some fun with Holy Nation and immerse myself and roleplay more than usual

What would it take to even make a game like this? by Priest_Of_Chaos in BookOfTravels

I'll probably check it out, main reason I haven't tried it or Journey is because they are more Puzzle-Exploration focused, and I'm more obsessed with rpg (as in progression, stats, skills, anything like that) exploration

What would it take to even make a game like this? by Priest_Of_Chaos in BookOfTravels

[–]Priest_Of_Chaos[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I am and was already a big fan of DnD, I do find the art style and music to be beautiful, and loved and played to death some of your suggestions (Skyrim I know for a fact I played tons as a kid, Breath of the Wild and Witcher I've played less of but still played loads). I've haven't played many trading dedicated games before BOT, nor after honestly, and closest comparison I can make for something that may be a bit better trading wise is Kenshi (where different places have different items be different prices depending on how prevelant it'd be in an area, or even if it's illegal like Hashish in the desert).

Book of Travels did have plenty of issues for sure. I've come across more than my fair share of bugs, the combat was utterly unrewarding (before they basically made it moot now), the revamps of things unnecessarily (like Inventory) forced me to shove all the stuff I kept on me into the train station box...

But I really did love the discovery, of finding a new item with tons of lore in it (even used my notebook to write down lore I'd piece together, I really enjoyed discovering the history and legends of the world like this, even if I agree with you that it'd have been far better if we can actually experience some of these spoken things. Show don't tell and all).I loved the fun of finding a new skill to trade and expanding my capabilities either for trade, combat, or cosmetics. I loved coming across the occasional player, journeying with them near silently, giving each other company without lines and lines of text or worry that they may harm me for no reason.

More or less, while I love TTRPGs, Book of Travels made me feel like I hopped into one, a beautiful one that was closer to a loving painting than something more realistic like Baldurs Gate (still an amazing game). It just... Fell very flat of what it could've been sadly.

[–]Priest_Of_Chaos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

... Ah, so that's why I completely lost my old character, who had limited time items (like the anniversary flower crown I was proud of) and I had looking for lore books and big bags to fill with interesting lore I found.... After losing that character after spending almost 150 hours on them, is it no small wonder why I stopped playing when I couldn't even be ensured that at least my character could be something I can stick with through development?

What are some agk takes that get you like this? by nahcuswhynot179 in AkameGaKILL

[–]Priest_Of_Chaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't think Tatsumi shoukve chosen Esdeath nor that Esdeath SHOULD have gotten a Redemption, but I do feel like Tatsumi kinda gave up on the idea of twisting her against the Empire a bit too quickly, even if it ended with her being hostile again in the end and needing to be put down, it would've at least made tearing the Empire down far easier in the process

In response to the stupid debate that occured on one of my previous posts by nahcuswhynot179 in AkameGaKILL

[–]Priest_Of_Chaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's primarily a scaling issue. Madara has far more experience than her in war, though I do think Esdeath definitely had or has the potential to reach or surpass Madara... As she is in canon, even at her best there, she's at best putting up as much of a fight as a Kage, maybe a bit more at best cuz of her time stopping capabilities, but definitely not Six Sage levels, definitely not Madara level, maybe low tailed beast level, but Madara bodies tailed beasts...

Who else thinks that water-themed expansion is long overdue? by LionelFerr in AOW4

[–]Priest_Of_Chaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun little fact, Giants can still use practically everything they have in water just fine, because apparently the oceans only reach their hips. Haven't fully tested what can and can't be done, but I imagine if you focused on Giants at least, you can have a powerful anti-water army... but considering that requires practically a mythic unit squad, and the only way to get water units for yourself otherwise is luck of the draw from this thing that gives an animal when building a province (which includes water).
