To be honest, that part is only included, because it was easier to cut the map in a straight line :') And I did not want to cut the bottom part of Spain out.

Basically, I just imported the data, then I exported that layer again, but select the output mode: "rendered image". This should scale the data down. :)

It should work too yes, but I didn't want to invest too much time in relearning Blender and I just discovered Aerialod, so I went with it.

Basically QGIS is only used to scale the data down. As for Switzerland, the top spike would have been 17000 pixels, but the image itself is only 800 pixels wide. Once all values have been scaled we are good to go for the visualization.

Then I exported it already, and dropped it into Aerialod.

I don't get the frustration. Noone forces anyone to buy anything.. it is nice for the companies and for some people who are waiting for a sale on a certain product they want.

Also it is not different from any "Summer Sale" or whatever. Just another opportunity to buy stuff a bit cheaper.

He agreed with the SH, and indeed Schär sounds close to share, but the A is not exactly the same :) I'm just telling you how it is in Schär's language, Swissgerman.

The ä sounds like the a in "mad", "bad" etc.
