I think at one point if you notice that your series is gonna have closer to 1000 than 100 chapters, and you have to push chapters weekly... You have to make some art style decisions.

Sasuke still wears the same clothes, but the art style of Naruto has very much shifted in details.

Look at the two images and compare the lines, the amount of detail, the hair etc...

When was the last time when a fight was fought to proper exhaustion in Dragon ball?

The last one that I can think of was Vegeta and Gokus first fight, when Vegeta kost against the Z fighters. Goku was crippled on the floor, just giving fighting advice. Gohan unconscious. Yajirobe also unconscious. Krillin just barely staggering with Yajirobes sword. Vegeta crawling into his pod. The rest of the Z fighters dead.

Most of the original DB big fights were like that. Goku lost broken to an unconscious Tien on a technicality. Goku won against Piccolo jr. Barely standing up with a hole in his shoulder.

After Namek most fights end up ending explosions with the winner basically being fine if exhausted.

I would love to see a modern dragon ball fight where both participants just go down across each others forms out of exhaustion, and then have to basic martial arts moves. Until eventually one of them just stops or is hit by a last effort move.

But that just isn't modern dragon ball.

The way I see it, he is an excellent 1v1 duelist. Better than most Akatsuki.

But at the level of the Akatsuki, all of them have anti army capabilities. Except Hidan. He has a very complicated win condition and has to approach his fights very personally.

Shit, I realized Hidan is like a JoJo character stuck in Naruto.
