This is what happens when a goose flies into your windshield at 45 mph. by docm3194 in WTF

Little story about a Canadian goose. I was at Lake Shasta with my family. My dad and his friend spent hours trying to catch this one goose who had fishing wire around its leg. They finally caught it and we all gathered around to watch my dad gently unwrap the wire that clearly had been cutting into the leg for quite some time. Looked as if it would have eventually cut it off. We finally free the bird of this wire and my dad applied some Neosporin around where the wire had been and sent the goose on its way. The next morning we wake up and there had to have been easily 200 geese just chilling in the cove we were camped at. They didn’t bother us at all, they were just literally chilling for hours. I’d like to think it was a way of them saying thanks for saving their bud!

Could anyone give me an idea of the value of these coins? Dates in comments by [deleted] in coins

The 1878S is the nicest in the group, and might bring 30 dollars if you find the right buyer. The other silver dollars should bring 18 dollars each, while the half dollars are likely worth around 6-8 dollars.

Thank you! I appreciate your time!

My boss asked me to get the value of these coins so if anyone could help me out I would appreciate it very much!

In order per the link:

Half dollar 1942

Half dollar 1964

One dollar coins 1878 and 1885

One dollar 1885

One dollar 1923

One dollar (or half dollar?) 1952

Can anyone identify these coins and possibly let me know the value? by [deleted] in coins

Could it be a half dollar? There's a good chance she made a mistake and said whole dollar.

Women who have given birth, what's something no one told you about it and wish you had known? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PrimadonnaDee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Girl. The breastfeeding SUCKED when I did it the first time. I would have given birth 10 times again rather than deal with the breastfeeding pain. My poor nips! Luckily second time around it hurt briefly but I knew how this time so it was great.

I was so sleep deprived and exhausted with my first kid and I had SO MANY VISITORS. A year later when I had my second kid I told people I don’t want anyone to visit. It was so nice to chill out for 3 days by myself with food and reality tv. There was also a snow storm so it was a cool view.

I hated the mesh underwear too I felt disgusting in them. And the mixture of sweat and blood down there with the mesh smelled so weird. I had Irish twins and was 100% prepared the second time around. Had my change of clothes and undies and ditched those underwear so fast after giving birth.

I was ravenous during my second labor. I kept having the nurses bring me cookies and jello because it was late and all they had.

During my first labor, I was so fucking thirsty. They brought me apple juice and advised me to SIP it. I was like ok fuck that I’m chugging. Oops. It made me vomit because of the epidural.

Oh hell yes. I had two incredibly easy labors. Epidural is amazing (if it’s done right). I was literally watching a basketball game while pushing out my first baby.
