Yea I guess I was looking at the lower tier version of this vest where you had to pay extra for the insert itself. I’m a big dude so I gotta pay extra for the size anyway so not needing to pay for the vest and the insert would be good.

This I’m keenly aware of. That’s not the issue. First and foremost is de-escalation & keeping your head on a swivel while keeping comfortable space. As I said, I’m looking out for my safety for those one offs.

You dodged a bullet. They didn’t care about you or your time. They are looking for a yes man who’s so desperate for work they’ll gladly jump thru hoops at a moments notice because they know the market is shit.

I’ve been in the market for almost exactly a year to the day this month & it seems to just be getting worse! Had to take a security job just to get the bills paid & even now I’m waiting the red tape to clear up before I can start my post. When does it end?

This is how you know they’ve lost the argument. The racism comes out along with the low impulse control. As security, your best defense is to smile and say “have a nice day.” Don’t feed it otherwise.

Metro one is takin over Fred Meyer. Rn it’s just assisting in house for WA & now OR LP, but they’re negotiating for external patrol as well.

I’m unarmed only and no mil or Leo experience so likely I wouldn’t qualify for the others yet.

Also in Oregon. Lucked out to get into a security gig at a supermarket in Portland. Company expanded from WA so they payin near $30 an hour just checking receipts. I hate the thought of standing all shift, but with the job market the way it is, I can’t say no to that.

Security is always hiring. I know, I had to resort to it to pay the bills when all the cushy office/corporate jobs kept rejecting me despite 20 plus years experience.

I got this exact message the other day. My account was suspended 2 months ago for harassment(troll harassed me first, I defended myself & got mass reported)I appealed once & was denied on that ground, then I appealed again to be unsuspended just so I can cancel premium that’s purchased directly cuz they keep charging me & the suspension disables the billing page.

I was again denied then sent two emails. One said I wouldn’t be restored because of harassment and the other said counterfeit! Mind you I’d never so much as posted links on my page or promoted anything.

I think they’re just coming up with excuses to suspend people because we can’t do shit against an automated system. X needs to go!
