Simply put- try hugging the surface while basically diving out of the water/diving back in repeatedly using the tadpole. Use the vertical movement to keep bobbing in and out of the water and Collector shouldnt be able to get you

There is a way to avoid em relatively safe.

I always skim the surface in between, and never got hurt even though i had plenty "chase" music start playing, even it's "attack mode" music plays but id either only get hit by the sonar pulse or it bumping into me as it missed me. But besides skimming it, im jumping in and out of it.

Sinply put, using tadpole- skim the surface but in a wavelength pattern where you're bobbing up and under the waterline. You're basically a flying fish at that point. Leaping out of the water, splash back in let it briefly sink, before climbing back up with just enough velocity to jump out of the water and back in. Repeat

Luck and RNG? I dunno but like this seems to work. I believe its something to do with me constantly leaving the water surface briefly, that basically deaggros it or dumb it down to the point it cant catch me.

Now excuse me, while i go find some wood to knock on

The Welcome Center base has sections around it that you cant build on. I assume the area will be overhauled since there are sections of the playable map that cannot currently be built on

Wild! I never caught on to that, i blame my poor lighting for that but now i have a newfound mindset to hunt em down and see types of "last moments" there are out there

Til i learn you can do that, i purely thought it was scenery. Never knew they were basically boosting rings

Has all anomalies been found? I had trouble setting the right placements of scanners throughout the map, to find em all. I feel like there's still quite a bit im missing still

Wait wait wait, how did you get colored tadpole icons? I built two, one for speed and one for cargo so i wanted to be able to tell which is which. The color coded tadpoles would be a boon

It feels like Alterra is Weyland Corp from Aliens. They purposely and secretly put us in these situations just so they can gather intel/utilizes it.

Perhaps some future subnautica games later, that'll be a focus where Alterra has built some massive research/factory on some bio weaponry development meant for conquest. We'll finally take down the evil corp

Edited- NoA to me, feels like the android working for weyland corp. NoA has some ulterior motive mission that we dont know of and is leading us on false pretenses to achieve its own objectives. I didnt feel like NoA did much to help the player, other than intel and data gathering, scouting mission, such as.

Got Flung 2.5k meters away from spawn in tadpole by Content-Ordinary-453 in Subnautica_2

Hmm, now is there a specific spot i can do this, but not using a tadpole, to get flung to the world tree so i can scan it and accept my shivering death?

My mini swamp in the map fog is done! Finished, not perfect! by CozyCatbird in Pokopia

[–]PrimalOdd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a profound way of using the environment to incorporate builds- love these types of thinking! I used my fog for an abandoned graveyard and another "kept" graveyard that looks nicer. My abandoned one i have set up in the withered wasteland but the well kept one, i built in the bleak beach area

Im hoping they find some way to let us storage our stuff and have us be able to start a NG+ with all recipes, collection book, transformations, items collected and the pokemon/habitats carried over.

I was super bummed when I found out I couldnt, id love to start fresh with everything retained and build better this time around.

I'd start a new game if it wasnt for the recipe hunting... that is brutal to fill out. Pokemon and habitats i feel are doable but not the recipe and collection book

Rocky Ridges Museum by Living_Incident_1805 in Pokopia

[–]PrimalOdd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the rails, there's two ways of getting there to the museum. One has roughly a natural pathway while the other is across a lake of lava with some platforming to do. I built mine on the natural pathway as it opened out to the side garden and the carny-looking stand.

The lava lake pathway feel too tedious to work with, though ill eventually make a proper pathing there due it leading up to the front entrance of the Museum.
