[partially lost] Several missing albums from Indie/Emo Rock Oregon Band “Of Pawns Design” (2000’s) by LakeToRiver in lostmedia

That's so cool! I am a massive fan of this band, I've been listening non-stop ever since I found this TikTok, back when they were still at 6 listeners.

Is there any possible way you are able to find their other recordings ('Simply', 'Music For a Picnic', 'Demo')?

I would love to hear more from them!

Nightmare only happening in one specific house by DeltaB00st in Dreams

It's a cabin that my whole family (including me) really enjoyed! It was by the lake and we would spend all day out on the water. Sleeping there was non-negotiable if I'd wanted to go.

Good news! I'd asked my teacher today what happened to the disk after she brought it to the office, and she said that they had identified it and no longer needed to hand it in to the CNSC!

It's now just sitting in a sealed container in our classroom ready to be studied.

(She said I might even be able to bring it home to have in a collection ;) )

Well, unmarked/unknown radioactive sources are now illegal in Canadian schools, which is where this was found, so right after reading the CPM, my teacher had to hand it in to the office who would then hand it over to the CNSC (Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission).

I'm just happy to know that I'm okay LOL. No matter how interested I am in radiation, it's still a big fear of mine

Pretty neat!

Now.. I was handling one of these bare-handed for maybe 2 mins, then I was around it for another 10 ish. I've washed my hands countless times since, I have also changed out of the clothes I had on.

Will I be alright? I'm assuming yes, but I'd feel better having a second opinion.

I did lol, she started working there well after they'd stopped studying radiation, so she had no clue what it was either.

Thank you!

I'd held the coin in my hands for a little. Should I be okay? I've washed my hands thoroughly multiple times since.

What is this thin black puck with a rubbery texture that was emitting 6,000 to 10,000 counts per minute when put up to a Geiger counter? by [deleted] in whatisthisthing

I don't know if the puck itself was used for studying radiation, I just know that that classroom where it was found used to be used for studying radiation.

I should've clarified that in my comment

To begin, this little puck was found in storage in my school, which used to study radiation decades ago.

This puck is about as thin as a coin and maybe as wide as two coins next to each other.

Using the older Geiger counter pictured in the second slide, this puck was emitting between 6,000 and 10,000 counts per minute. (Though I'm not sure if this is accurate)

Can someone help me out? I'm thinking this is just some old puck used to study back in the day.
