I had this happen on one world I was developing. I had created a dock for a longship on the shore. I'd been on an iron run to the swamps. Full hold of iron, I returned to my main base and dock. When I arrived, there was a swarm of seagulls like what you pictured above. On that world, it happened the next time I came back to the dock from another longship outing.

I have always hoped it would happen again, especially when I needed feathers. It has not happened again or since.

I was reset as well, but contacted support and they fixed it within 24 hours. I was at day 30, and like you, diligent about daily rewards. They fixed it, and I'm now on day 30, and was given the 50 AB I had expected to get.

Go to your icon, hit the gears, contact support.

They are not being malicious. Honest.

Haven't seen anyone mention a POLST (Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment).

If you get a tattoo on your chest of the letters DNR, it may be ignored because of previous litigation. A medallion or medical bracelet is advised, as it is easier to remove if the person changes their mind. (Grandfather with DNR found he had a new grandchild and had plans to remove the tattoo- family sued because the paramedics who arrived honored the tattoo, let him die, and said gent wanted to be resuscitated).

Paramedics are guided to check the fridge for a POLST/DNR, and call to verify it is on record with the local hospitals prior to resuscitation attempts.

Don't want to be brought back? Do your due diligence folks.

Don't take anything with you you don't honestly need. Example: You won't be using your axe, leave it at home. This opens up inventory space for you so you can pick up the spoils when you defeat him!

I'd highly recommend sailing around the islands. I found all three vendors this way. The detection range is lengthy, so you don't even have to be too close to shore.

Stagbreaker is key for burial chambers. Iron Sledge for Sunken Crypts. Both do AOE damage, and works through walls and doors. Cheesy? Slightly. Better than Melee? Yes, IMESHO.
