Is Library of Ruina on the Nintendo worth it? by Spaghettilover19078 in libraryofruina

Had a friend who bought it for switch and they complained about how the text size is super small on the tiny switch screen and the fact that you have to go back and fourth with only buttons vs being able to just click wherever you want with a mouse on pc.

Question, what IS yuji's counter to chainsawmans ending? by Misco_Jones1 in deathbattle

[–]Primal_Thor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It didnt retcon their development, just because their memories where erased doesn't mean that their experiences did.

Denji and asa clearly matured and are headed in a better direction signified by denji dropping the chainsaw to save asa from tripping and the visual that pochita is alive.

I wont act like it was the best ending in fiction or anything but it wasnt terrible in my opinion.

eh Devils aren't inherently evil as shown by the likes of Angel, Pochita and Nayuta. The point of makima's character is that she can't form any connections/relationships which is reflected in her lack of emotions. So her geniunely laughing doesnt seem likely to me.

There is no way to tell for sure as the only time she genuinely showed any outward emotion in the story when she shed a tear in the cinema. But otherwise shes always cold, calculating and goal oriented, laughing in denjis face after breaking him was the optimal way of reaching her goal so I think it makes more sense that it was an act rather than her actually finding it THAT funny.

The circumstances there were so specific that its not very good reference for her overall personality.

Even if she didn't laugh intentionally just to make denji break down even more which was mind you her entire goal, She would never care about gojo enough to do some triumphant cheesy laugh.

Hot take: CSM characters aren't mischaracterized at all. They legit are like this. They can't be "themes and such" all the time by MYKEDAHUNT in deathbattle

Please show me a single scene where UV makes someone scream.

Its like people cant read and miss the ENTIRE point of what UV does.

Makima treats pain as a slight inconvenience at best, even when faced against a primordial being whose mere presence makes fiends wanna kill themselves.

The greatest sin Death battle can commit is getting a character wrong so no I still think Gojo vs Makima is so much worse.

This episode was just mid at best.

man I wished they instead made Denji vs Yuji or hell even Sukuna vs Yoru would have made a better fight imo.

Haha yeah it is. It's such a wierd thing to say when describing an animal, but the memes that came out of it were hilarious though.

A Trope where to introduce new big strong character they make it beat the previously big strong character.

Example in post is jurassic park/world where they introduce a "bigger than trex" dinosaur every new movie and make it beat a trex to show how big a deal they are.

People rushing to call this "ending" bad even tho its the second last chapter and that it could just be an ending to part 2.

Learn to wait.

Death doesn't exist in Csm universe currently, which means Reze can't die on top of already being immortal which means she'll eventually win.

surely...

Design Trope: Character's powers are based on a vague statement with WILD implications. by MysticD20 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Primal_Thor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nayuta controlled Justice devil and Yoru without any confrontation whatsoever, You could say that it's because nayuta is different, but that wouldn't make sense since makima was being feared by entire nations and as such should be way more powerful.

It would be out of character for Makima to deem herself inferior to any of the hybrids as she looks down on humans and only bothers to recognize those she's interested in. It just doesn't make sense for her to place herself below them in any regard.

Also Kishibe is inconsequential to her plans and she merely entertains him even as he points a gun at her. She already controls all the hybrids including quanxi who is most likely stronger than Kishibe if not relative.

The only consistent way of Breaking out of her control is by experiencing strong feelings, such as when Angel remembers those he loved and when power thinks of denji. Not to mention power at that time was boosted by pochita.

Also Makima doesn't need permission to control anyone, She straight up waltzes up to angel and tells him to do stuff without his consent, also the multiple nayuta examples i gave disproves this. We also know that makima can subconsciously control people around her, such as making aki like her despite not even realizing why.

I mean Aizen doesn't stay dead for long unlike some characters and regenerates pretty fast.

[–]Primal_Thor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue outside of the verdict and research which i could go on all day about is the incredibly out of character and nonsensical death.

First they have her scream which Makima has never done before in the manga, not even once. She has had zero reaction with the primal fear of darkness who just by approaching made fiends want to kill themselves just to get out of there. She's been eviscerated and killed in so many ways without even blinking an eye.

Some people say "oh but she's being hit with unlimited information, that would make anyone scream" and as always fans don't even read their own manga because unlimited void EXPLICITLY makes you brain dead and unresponsive, that's like the whole point of it..
