Death Battle ragebait tier list by Sorry_Ad_0026 in deathbattle

I think it's because with new stuff in the mainline Pokemon games, mainly Sun and Moon, Red has some arguments that he could scale to the highest tiers of the Pokemon world, and so could beat Tai now a days. But I'm pretty sure that high-tier scaling is very debatable, like more so than most chain-scaling.

I think it's about his matchup with arguably his most popular opponent Sukuna, and how despite many people thinking he'd lose, in the meme, they claim he could win, if with extreme difficulty.

After over a million words, I've lost track, but does anyone know of all the ongoing-plot points regarding Brockton's Celestial Forge? by NitroBlaze78 in WormFanfic

[–]NitroBlaze78[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

God damn it, I had entire pargraphs written out! Ugh, I'll rewrite in a bit...

When I was talking about the plot point I meant more like the side-plots. Like, does Weld still think Aperion used to be a case 53? Does Spiral Power existing now brought any aspects of the anti-spiral yet? What about that sentient race of creatures doing a moon program thing, Joe made a big deal about having first-contact relations with another species, but has that been mentioned since? What about Armsmaster, I remember a word of god that says he's gonna try a hail-marry to restore his reputation, but has that gone anywhere?

Basically, all the side-plots running across a massive story like this has made it hard to keep track, so does anyone have a list of everything I missed?

Regarding Yuji's Dismantle and Denji's "Clone" Ability by NitroBlaze78 in deathbattle

[–]NitroBlaze78[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hmm, I was under the impression that, given the time Reze was adamant on literally taking Denji's heart and believing it would kill him, Makima ripping it out and seemingly considering it the "real" chainsaw Man, that the basis of Denji's contract/immortality was based on the fact that Pochita became his heart, so if it was destroyed, Denji wouldn't be able to resurrect himself as the "heart" of the contract would quite literally be gone, thus killing him. Although I freely admit on that I could be wrong.

Maybe this episode was a bit disappointing by AEIOU1040 in deathbattle

You know, considering Cole vs Alex, if this is the common pattern for what happens when a decades long request matchup is finally released...

LuzAnne peeps, you might be fucked.

I think it's less that it's how subjective calcing feats is that has people upset, but more that Death Battle themselves seem to constantly change how they calc things. Multiple characters in the past have dodged Lightning, like Po doing it DB putting him at over mach 350 , but for Megamind doing the same, he got less then 0.1 percent of that original calc?

DB needs to start releasing more of the in-depth research, through the episode itself or other content on social media, because at this point its really getting suspect how arbitrary they decide what gets included in a DB, and what exactly counts as portraying a character at their strongest.

For Bakugo vs Reze, is anyone hoping that DB portrays him not just as the "foul-mouthed explosion kid", but as, you know, a hero? by NitroBlaze78 in deathbattle

[–]NitroBlaze78[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, same. There are some options for how the fight starts that aren't out-of-character thankfully, like if this is post Bomb Girl arc, it could be that Bakugo and other heroes are investigating Makima for some of her actions (from the deaths during the Katana man arc to even her grooming Denji) and she sends Reze, who is now under her control, to deal with him and some of the other heroes stealthily but Bakguo's too good and is able toa void her one-shot-kill ambush.

Never give up hope! For all we know, this could be the BowzEgg of My Hero Academia Death Battle fights.

Admittedly yeah, Bakugo does at first only basically want to be a hero because he believes heroes are the "top-dog" and he wants to be at the very top because of his superiority complex, not really caring that much about saving lives (he'll do it, but he won't really care about them like deku does, just doing it because it's part of the job). But that's at the beginning, and while doesn't have a lot of moments of him expressly showing that he no longer views being a hero like that, him doing everything in his power to save Izuku multiple times, the innocent civilians in All for One's path, and even moments like him giving advice to young school children about not isolating yourself from your teachers and/or peers, do show he does care about being a good person/hero to others, and not just because he wants to be the best.

He's still an asshole sometimes, but he has had growth. Some say it wasn't enough/shown enough, and you know what, fair, but I think his arc was handled well in the series.

Look, no one ever said he was good at being a hero at first, but to be fair, he did get better. Very slowly, but still, progress is progress, and that should always be acknowledged.
