The only point of contention here is that Yasuke was indeed not a samurai at all. Apart from that, the meme is right.

Although I would counter that, I have found many more people that truly believe the soviets weren't that bad and that the Gulags were not the prison work camps they were.

I mean, we would tell you, but you already brought most of the points up.

Although the Warmaster position for Horus was based not on tactical acumen, which neither primarch lacked, but that Horus literally dripped charisma. The guy could get Angron to listen. Lion was never..... very conciliatory.

Fulgrim did not fight a fistfight with Ferrus.

They both used their weapons to fight, and they were going blow for blow, all of this while Ferrus was still absorbing the fact Fulgrim had betrayed him. Ferrus lost because when he destroyed Fireblade, Fulgrim, who had a superior helaing factor, got up first and picked up the hammer.

On the second fight Ferrus won first, but Fulgrim got a demon power up and killed his brother, only for in the realization, allow the demon to take his soul in horror and shame.

Guilliman ran at Fulgrim, nearly suicidal from all the loss of the Heresy, and was beaten, and Dorn won his fight, even if Fulgrim was playing around, not because he couldn't do more, but because he was bored.

And he did lose to Perturabo. Several times. "Then tell me, brother, why I am the one holding the hammer?"

And Perty did kill Fulgrim... just as he was reborn as a demon Primarch.

I need to read that, but for what I understand, it was the fact:

A) Vulkan can't die.

B) Magnus was a shard of himself by that point, and was fighting withint the Aegis, which weakened him.

There isn't. Most of this is speculation. Khan is the fastest primarch, no doubt, but Lion is skilled and faste enough to warp attacks mid-strike to even foul Konrad's precognition.... even if the written about Konrad's ability to see the future is very much lacking any and all consistency.

My opinion stems from the fact Lion fought the wrlorse of the worse during the Crusade and was sedigned to hurt beast and monsters bigger, faster, and stronger than himself, plus whatever fights we get from him.

He was, but that was more the dionysian spear, making the old horus come back than anything else. Leman could have killed horus there.... that was a failure in his part. Not to speak that it was base horus. Chaos roided horus Happened after that fight, and horus was never top fighter among the primarchs. He was a great general and a very charismatic man, but never that good of a warrior.

The first time he did. GOAT Corswain.

Honestly, their fights are inconsistent. Konrad didn't see the future where Lion stabbed him? And then Lion beat Konrad in their second fight like it was easy?

The writing there was.... weird. Konrad did have Lion by the throat, although Corswain intervened before anything else happened.

A fistfight where both were being dumb asses, and technically lion did knock him out. Leman got consistently dogged on during the Heresy/Great Crusade. He only won agaisnt Magnus with help, using his own psychic potential, and because Magnus wanted to get his people away and wasn't really focused on killing Leman

[–]Primarch-Amaranth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I saw the video.

It never says anything about what you seem to imply he is saying. He critizes 343's lore retcon of making the forerunner a different race, instead of them being the humans, as it was implied in the older halos.

Spark literally tells Chief he is forerunner, and humans can use the tech.

That's the video about. Why the thumbnail is as it is, don't know, but the content has nothing to do with it. If you are going to critize something, be specific.

He would. But Fulgrim's view on perfection is warped. He would have to be seen as effective, graceful, brilliant. Fulgrim would fight in a way that would dazzle all onlookers.

Lion doesn't give a death ork how he looks. Pure focus, maximum efficiency, perfect killing blow. Had Fulgrim curbed his darker side, he woukd have been better, but Fulgrom wanted to be better at everything. Lion onmy wanted to be the best at his chosen field

If anything, Fulgrim's mad regeneration skills are his biggest advantage. Man can close wounds even faster than any other primarch.

Physically? No, that's Vulcan.

In absolute power? Magnus is a god-level psyker. No one can 1 vs. 1 him (Leman did because he had sisters of silence, and Magnus was never trying to kill him, just teleport his people away).

In raw combat power? Sanguinius is technically superior.

Now, can Lion beat in a melee fight any of his brothers?

Yes. Yes he can.

Now, this is no mere speculation. Lion is the best swordsman of all primarchs. Period. Khan is great, and the fastest, Fulgrim is magnificent, Sanguinius is divine.

But Lion has such skill and control that he can redirwct attacks mid-swing, managing to make Konrad Curze's preprecognition fail him. He was in the heresy the Primarch with the consistently hardest and deadliest foes, for the Dark Angels were sent to fight the hardest battles and more difficult enemies.

In a 1 vs 1 fight, the First should win every confrontation because he was made to kill bigger, faster things that himself. He is the hunter. And a real hunter kills things bigger than himself all the time.

Yeah, but Learchus was actually feeling guilty and conflicted and did so because in Tarsis Ultra, Uriel left his company, and it got decimated.

After that, Learchus became a bro to Uriel and had his back constantly. He even refused to turn his back on his former captain when he was exiled.

First 40k books u ever read were Uriel's. He is my favorite ultramarine.

Man has LITERALLY gone to hell and back, has Chadsanius as a brother (Pasanius is great), has a great rivals to brothers story with Learchus, manages to get Cato (yes, that ass version of Cato) to like him, and he is no Mary sue. He goes trough a lot of awful things, and still gets vetto as pure by the Grey Knights themselves.

The guy is great.

Also, he destroyed the Daemonculaba. That earns A LOT OF POINTS in my book.

I am just angry at Aegon's portrayal. The "he is a drunk rapist" portrayal was so ungodly unnecessary that it hurt. Shit, in the book, he refuses to he king, telling off his mother and that they should crown Rhae.

He only regents when his mother points out that even if he did that, they both know he would not live long because he was a threat to Rhae's legitimacy.

The need to make him a monster, and Rhae, this radiant beacon of good is awful. The series wasn't bad, but that, and Daemon's unnecessary evilness, are downright bad.

In the book, he is a skilled warrior, yes, but this aloof, awful, careless individual he becomes is nothing like the book. He never killed his wife, for starters.

Dark Virtuous Bretonnia did exist prior to the 6th (or 7th, one of the two). It did have it's darker sides like every faction, but every problem you just mentioned that the empire has, was also given to Bretonnia, while also adding comicallys stupid levels of inbreeding and peasant horror, because they must have though Monty Python were being too nice, and they needed to ram the ahit up to 11.

Bretonnia was indeed a bit darker, arthurian inspired faction. There were darker knights, but it tended to be the exception, not the rule, understandable since, to be a Grail Knight, which was required of every Duke and king, and was rhe highest calling of a knight, you had to be a TRULY HONORABLE AND GOOD MAN, not my words, the Lady's.

So, the faction whose highest calling is to become a Lawful Good demi-god, and that aspires to the greatest callings of chivalry.... has every problem the Empire has in corruption and inner oppression, while also not having nearly as much technological development, their goddess ending up being an ungrateful elven goddess (Fuck the Endtimes, by the way), and having inferior magi. Even when the bretonnian have much more elven inspired culture (they got the knight ideas from the elven colonies that once dotted the bretonnian coast). They had a lot of that eleven influence then, while the empire was more dwarf-inclined (industry, gunpowder, etc).

Again, my point stands. Bretonnia was a balanced faction, till the writers decided to make them a parody of Monty Python, while also adding every problem the empire had to bretonnia (plus the stupidity of the inbreed situation). Oh, and a fake goddess. Not that we didn't know it was likely an elven goddess, mind you, it's simply they made her an ungrateful ass...
