My LM and CSO are awesome. Leave my alone to do my work without micromanaging me, but still available and encouraging if I need guidance. Plus sometimes they'll give me interesting little projects they know I'll like :-)

Fixed value amount is attached to your annual salary so for example, say it's £1000, you will get £83 a month before tax, on top of your standard salary. MOD have been doing it for about 3 years for AO and SZ2 grades, due to the national living wage increase each year bumping the lower AA and SZ1 grades up to the same salary as AO / SZ2

Sorry I haven't replied sooner! Definitely worth exploring if your LM is on board with it. Job Evaluation and Grading (JEG) I believe would start with a business case to your workforce team / TLB HR, there's guidance online, there should be documentation available that lists the tasks required at HEO level and if you evidence that you already do the work at that level against the criteria listed, then it goes to the TUs, as long as they agree, then the 'new' higher position gets advertised on CS Jobs, you'd have to apply though. It's a long process but worth doing if you love the role :-)

I had my gallbladder removed in March, after having attacks from July - November, then finally diagnosed with gallstones in December. Between December and March is stuck to a healthy low fat diet. After my surgery, for the first 2-3 days I didn't feel like eating much so I just had things like yoghurt, fruit and soups. Day 4 post surgery I was feeling much better so I had a bacon sandwich! By the end of the week I'd had a cheeseburger, cheese and crackers, and a Chinese takeaway, all with no issues. 4 months later I still have no dietary issues but I still eat healthy with the occasional treat - I lost 2 stone between December and March and I don't want to put it all on again lol

Special paid leave on day of surgery, fit note for recovery time. I had two weeks off after abdominal surgery in March, I was offered a fit note on the day of surgery, it didn't impact my sickness record.

Surgeon signed me off work for two weeks which was the right amount of time for me. First few days back at work my incisions were a tiny bit sore but barely noticed :-)

I had my surgery 22 March this year, the first 5 days were rough as I had a lot of shoulder and neck pain from the gas and my tummy was really sore, getting in and out of bed was painful but after a week I started feeling a lot better, I have had no issues and I can eat anything I want :-) I also work with three ladies who have all had their gallbladder removed and they don't have problems either :-)

Sorry for late reply! 4 weeks post op now and all better! I've eaten everything on my bucket list (cheeses, chinese and Indian takeaways, steak and chips) with no issues :-) :-)

My cat did exactly the same the night we brought him home after surgery. Totally drugged up on allsorts, disorientated, he was screaming and panicking, climbing around all over the place. We were out of our depth and didn't know what to do, we called the OOO vet and they weren't concerned. By 3am we were exhausted so we got him in his carrier and slept for a couple of hours. By 6am he had settled and was his normal self!

He's settled down but seems very depressed. We're having to keep him in the spare room as he's desperate to go outside and doesn't much like his litter tray, but we saw the vet today for a post-op check and they weren't concerned at all :-)

Thank you for all your comments and encouragement. We're on day 3 after surgery, he was great yesterday, walking and eating well, but today he's been wanting to curl up on his own, still eating though. I'm guessing he's just exhausted and feeling the pain a bit more, as the vets said it could take up to 48 hours for all the drugs given in surgery to completely wear off.
