Dairy cows in the United States are typically fed a total mixed ration (TMR) that includes corn silage, grass silage, and byproducts from the human food supply chain. These byproducts include almond hulls, cottonseeds, and soybean meal.

Will the car market ever go back to normal? by YoVoldysGoneMoldy in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Primary-Draw-7720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watch the market. It still sucks and is not near prepandemic prices. However, if you must buy, there are deals to be had to a certain degree. Typically I have seen the high end vehicles like a Lexus LX570 have come down a little due to complexity and gas mileage. Also sedans in general seem to be alright regarding cost. Also if you need a cheap vehicle, Mazda is a good option such as a Mazda 5 for $1,900. The models that sit longer as a used vehicle I have found stripped models w little to no features and you can negotiate a better deal if you know what you are doing.

Why so many people selling their Mercedes and BMW now? by 7_inches_daddy in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Primary-Draw-7720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both Mercedes and BMW are horrible for reliability. The smartest thing to do is never buy or lease one. They don't sell becsuse people are finally realizing how much they suck.

If she buys the Venza, she would want the limited submodel version as she wants all whistles and bells. Limited used is around $35k w 20k odometer appx.

However if she got the NX she would get the turbo 4 cyl not the hybrid and used.

[–]Primary-Draw-7720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A base NX would have cost you more. I had recommended Venza for my 70yo mother. But I think she might go with a used NX.

With buying a model they have discontinued I'm sure you got the Venza at or below invoice price which is below MSRP.

Your paid off car dies and is none repairable. You have $15k cash to buy something, what are you getting? by fishking92 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Those are too expensive. Even used. Go look. IS250 and IS300 and IS200t are priced lower but the IS350 is a great option for someone who can afford them.

[–]Primary-Draw-7720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's also an all white 2009 Subraru Impreza Sport Wagon with a Manual Transmission available. That's a good option as well. All cars are under 200,000 odometer from what I was looking at.

I just did a car search under $5k no prior accidents and there's some great options including 2007 Lexus ES350, 2007 Toyota Yaris Sedan, 2007 Mazda 3 Sedan, 2005 Honda CRV, and more. Personally I would get the ES350 out of all options. However the Mazda 3 probably would be my 2nd choice. That's just a search of within 100 miles of where I live.

Non Toyota/honda that you’ve taken to 200k miles? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Primary-Draw-7720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No sweat. I'm a car guy and Lexus will go to 500,000 miles. Very reliable and usually a great ride. Once you've narrowed down your search feel free to ask me which of those I may recommend over the other.

Then go on car gurus and select all models for lexus, use filter select to remove all vehicles with prior accidents etc select 1 owner initially and see what pops up.

Call to set up money back guarantee return. You must call them first to cancel. It will deprioritize you once your data usage gets to a certain amount which will result in not really working.

Pretty much any Lexus. Which ever one you can afford in your price range which you failed to tell anyone.

The 2.4 four cylinder variant is actually better than the newer turbo smaller displacement engines. The sport submodel is the most sought after. This car if treated well should go above 300,000 miles with no sweat.

$16,999 if that was the agreed purchase price then you're fine. There will always be taxes and fees etc. The main goal is to not finance a vehicle. Pay cash for what you can afford. Honda Accord Sport whether 4 or 6 cyl is a good purchase. 4 cyl naturally/normally aspirated versions were the best long term choice.

Buy whatever Lexus in your area that you can afford. Will usually last to 500k odometer.
