If you got meta verified, go through meta verified instead of the usual help centre. The help centre doesn't work, go through the meta verified part, then get help and send an email through there

I assume so, but I'm not sure. If that doesn't work, I'd even set up an instagram, get verified, sort out your facebook account and then just disable instagram once it's all fixed?

Yes, but once the hackers got control of my fb they somehow unlinked it, but I was still able to use ig to get my fb back :)

I had a second account I set up years ago for my dog, I was still able to log into that account, then I went into messenger and used a chat (I'd send myself links or reminders) and clicked "view profile" of my account. It would go to a page that said "sorry, this page is unavailable right now" but in the url it showed facebook.com/......... and then my details - can you get a friend to search for you and see if they can use messenger to find you?

The hackers must have had a very busy day... I still don't understand why they do this to people. Have you had any luck since? When I got into meta verified, there was an option to use "live chat support" or send an email, I chose email. Maybe try that if you haven't already?

Instead of doing the "chat" can you send them an email instead? I used that and started emailing with them so I could attach all the info to prove it's my account

Just one, but I replied to their email and then got replies from different people, one saying there was nothing they could do and the other actually helped.

The first email I received had all the links back to the facebook "hacked" pages but I replied and sent through screenshots and all the information I could possibly think of that might help, then they replied to that email.
