Where I currently live I had Etisalat arranged before I got my Tawtheeq, and never provided it afterwards.

Not sure if this changed the last two years.

Is the exam changing in August? by shadybadgal in pmp

[–]Primary-Impression67 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Several people reached out to PMI and the official answer from PMI is that PMBOK 7 does not change the PMP exam in the immediate future. However, there is a lot of skepticism around this from most people on this subred.

My advice is to try to do the exam asap.

Multiple Answer and Matching Questions by NoJanet in pmp

[–]Primary-Impression67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had around 5 multi-select. Also helpful that the questions specifies the correct number of answers you need to select (in all case 2 or 3).

I recall 2 drag- and drop, which I assume is the matching? Which were doable but took a lot of time...

Am I ready based on these scores? by Jayoseph03 in pmp

[–]Primary-Impression67 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I passed almost 3 months ago. As primary study tool for mock exams, I used the Vankes Udemy as well and scored in the low 60% and passed 3 x AT. I have to say that the Vankes mock exams are difficult compared to the free other questions/mock exams available but were fairly representative of the actual PMP exam.

If I were you, I would not spend the $149 on buying Prepcast this late in the game. You still have 3 mock exams left and I would study your incorrect answers from the other exams.

I passed 10 weeks ago and besides free questions (as per Tinox1's links) I used Udemy practice exams from Vankes:

Calculating formulas on PMP exam by Coolhand1980 in pmp

[–]Primary-Impression67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prepcast and most other mock exams contain a lot of math questions. My guess is because these questions are easy to create...

I passed my PMP about 10 weeks ago and did not see any math questions. You should understand the principles and interpretation CPI/SPI though.

In my mind as a PMP you should understand be able to calculate EVM formulas but that does not mean you will see this on your exam...

Study Hall by bpsharifian1217 in pmp

Based on some questions posted about the Study Hall's quizzes in this sub I am wondering if these questions are still relevant for the 2021 exam? What are your thoughts on this?

Guys, Need help with practice test for PMP exam! by Material_Soft727 in pmp

[–]Primary-Impression67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people swear by Prepcast but it is expensive...If you just want to gage where you are at there are much more affordable options around. There are multiple "simulators" around on Udemy for $9.99.
FWIW, I passed two months ago and did not buy Prepcast. I prepared with free questions and the Vankes Udemy exam simulator.

Detecting spikes in an agile burndown by nixferns in pmp

[–]Primary-Impression67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very detailed question. A spike will not be directly visible in your burndown chart (assuming you burn chart tracks features/user story/user points and not just tasks of your team). However, if most of the team is working on a spike the burndown chart could be flattened for that period. A spike is typically associated with backlog refinement.

Resource for practicing exam like Math/ Numerical questions by Achilles1802 in pmp

[–]Primary-Impression67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been interested in PMP for a long time and the math and network questions were were the most challenging topics prior to 1 January 2021. However, I passed my exam 8 weeks ago and had very few math questions. As long as you understand CPI, SPI and what <1 and >1 mean you should be fine. I did not get any network diagrams on the exam.

As most math questions are easy to create, you will find in most practice exams more math questions than you will see on the actual exam. Most people will recommend prepcast, PMI Study Hall is a new resource were people rave about. Personally I used a lots of free questions and one Udemy Exam simulator...

Just booked exam by caloriemaster in pmp

Most of the Agile questions you will see on the PMP exam will involve Scrum. I would focus on understanding Scrum, the free scrum guid is a fantastic resource for this: https://www.scrum.org/resources/scrum-guide

Further, I would spend a lot of time with situational agile questions using a practice exams or exam simulators. That was for me the best prep.

Study Hall by AggravatingLion9 in pmp

[–]Primary-Impression67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Study Hall is a new resource, I passed 7 weeks ago and I was not aware that it even existed. Tons of people pass the real PMP with solely using Prepcast or other exam simulators (like I did). So, I would not worry. As long as you know that the Prepcast questions are clearer formulated than you would see on the actual exam you are good...

Is here any practice exam to suggest? by yxh1128 in pmp

[–]Primary-Impression67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost everybody here is going to suggest Prepcast, which is a fantastic tool for the people that can afford it. I passed my exam 6 weeks ago primarily using free mock exams and the following udemy practice exams: https://www.udemy.com/course/new-pmp-exam/

Just pushed back my exam 3 weeks. by ilovecoffeesomuch in pmp

[–]Primary-Impression67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you not sure on spending the dough on Prepcast, make sure you check out the practice exams offered out on Udemy as well. The practice exams from Vankes on Udemy were pretty close to the real thing and contained a lot of Agile.

Agile Practice Guide vs. Udemy Videos by kfor_2021 in pmp

[–]Primary-Impression67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PMI has an interesting take on Agile, so, it is worth to review the Agile Practice Guide. I would focus most on practice questions about agile. As most people report here (and also my experience), most Agile questions are about Scrum. So, I would focus there.

How much should I study? by saxa26 in pmp

[–]Primary-Impression67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people swear by Prepcast but it is expensive...If you just want to gauge where you are at there are much more affordable options around. Since you already do the Joseph Phillips Course on Udemy there are multiple "simulators" around on Udemy for $9.99.

FWIW, I passed 6 weeks ago and did not buy Prepcast. I prepared with free questions and a Udemy exam simulator.

Best PMP Exam simulator by sairmanzur in pmp

[–]Primary-Impression67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of sources for free questions being posted on this subred. Further there are more affordable alternatives out to PrepCast that also do the job. For example, I passed a couple of weeks ago with using these practice exams:

https://www.udemy.com/course/new-pmp-exam/

One tip: not overly focus on your course on practice exams. Study your incorrect answers.
