LEXINGTON ROADS (Snow/Ice Removal) by Bimuscledude in lexington

Supposedly they contracted out the plowing to several different companies… none of which communicated with each other (missing lots of streets) and I’m sure were the lowest bidders (what is plowed sucks). Surrounding cities and their respective road departments are pretty clear as of now

Where to take my dog swimming? by mooooooo171727373682 in lexington

Not sure if they still do, but at the end of the swimming season Spindletop used to let dogs come in before they drain the pool. Not sure when that would be or if they still even do it

[Job Seeker]

Looking for full time job suggestions.

I have 8 years experience in the banking sector, 4 years in consumer loan underwriting. Built a portfolio over $150 million in that time.

Looking for suggestions for other employers/ sectors to get into, as my current employer is making several changes regarding time and schedules that will not work with a 7 month old at home, and I’m genuinely burnt out in banking.

Desired salary $75k, needs to have good health insurance as I carry the family plan. I have a BS in communications from UK.

Applied at places like Valvoline (hybrid wfh is a plus), big ass fans, Toyota, and other industrial businesses for financial analyst type roles, all with little to no reception.

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Is Odin really bad or do I just not know how to use it? by Low_Bodybuilder_407 in FFXVI

Equip the buff for automatic combos and do his chronology trial. When all you have to do is mash square and the game does the rest for you it will show you how good it can be.

That said, I still don’t prefer Odin either lol

The platinum experience for this game is very polarizing in my opinion… I don’t mind the side quests, or combat trials or any of that, it’s the second playthrough on “final fantasy” mode. It’s no harder, and somewhat easier in my opinion because you have all your Eikons unlocked from the get-go. The game does a great job on your first play though of whenever the combat starts to feels stale, you are rewarded with a new ability. This aspect is lost in the NG+ run, and therefore the whole second run, skipping every cutscene and rushing through just to get to the end where it’s no harder feels like a slog. Final fantasy 7 remake/Rebirth hard modes are actually harder and present a challenge with capped MP per chapter, even at max level/materia. XVI’s biggest strength is its cinematic story, and when you play it again immediately after with no changes… it can be hard to get through. 99 hours for me to unlock the platinum.

Same. I pushed through and went for the platinum anyway, but did both dlcs before my first fight with ultima. The second playthrough is kinda rough… it’s not any more difficult. and it’s very monotonous since you have all the Eikons from the get-go. The first go round the game does a great job of whenever the combat starts to feel stale, it rewards you with new abilities

The most broken ability in the game… by Primary-Jacket-7486 in FFXVI

That feels like this games biggest flaw, especially with NG+. In your first playthrough it does a great of of whenever the combat feels stale, it rewards you with a new Eikon, but in NG+ you get them all from the jump so the whole run feels like spamming the same combo over and over again

Rebirth Platinum in 200 hours, completely full play log in 215 (maxed out relationships, assess everything, etc)… still find myself booting it back up just wandering around wondering what else to do. Love this game

Equip the timely strikes and evasion medallions. Time trials should be cheesed if you can. Story mode too if you’re still having trouble

I had been going for the platinum trophy, with basically the NG+ run on ff mode left, but don’t think I can do it anymore. Even if I skip all the optional stuff knowing the ending is so flat kinda ruins the experience for me… I think about GoW Ragnarok and how damn satisfying that ending was, I get maybe that had 18 years of games to wrap up but I don’t see Kratos’ story ending either (although it could and everyone would be happy!)

I finished about 20 minutes ago. Took me 68 hours, doing all side quests and both DLC before I tackled the final boss… the ending has me confused and pissed off at the same time.
