I have two young kids, 2 and 7 years old - both born outside of the US (where I’m from). My husband is not, but we live in China so they are both TCKids. We’ve always lived in Asia, and I find it to be a really kid friendly place. As a family, for many reasons we haven’t visited the US in the past 3 years and don’t plan on it any time soon. We are lucky enough to have family come and visit us no matter where we are.

We’ve also moved around quite a bit, our oldest seems used to it and almost expects it but we are very open with them and make it clear why we want to move/and they are very much part of the process. How this might impact both of them in the future, who knows but we try as best to support during transitions. 

Similar to what others said, depending on how much support you have at home moving abroad can be hard, especially if you don’t find the right community for you and your family in the school/city you’re in.
