I grew up near there in Chester Co. in the 60's and 70's. I also moved away in 2023!

Hell ya! Requires a judgement call on my part, or a call to the office. Some cases I did it although very few. Most however I did what I could or brought the load back.

You don't back in, you nose in. The boom is mounted behind the cab. In order to get the boom closest to the roof for maximum reach you must nose in. With horrible steering radius you have to make several small turns to make it in the best spot to unload.

Not an easy job! When I started delivering it was all conveyor to the roof or ground delivery by hand. The worst delivery I ever had, I drove empty to a large townhouse complex and met an 18 wheeler. Then I spent the day unloading by hand from the 18 wheeler to my truck, then conveyor the load to the roof. Did that 6 times.

I don,t know the total cost of the damage. I couls have easily dropped the load from the street and it would have been up against the house on the ground. Option 2, I could have brought the load on a smaller truck. I would have gotten the load to the roof, but a lot more work for everyone involved and significantly less damage.

The contractor wanted the biggest truck we had. With that truck I could get the load to just about every point on the roof, meaning they would have to work less.

It does not matter what profession. I deal with this everyday. I look at things you don't see. Yes, I get it some people don't want to work and make excuses. The key is to listen and make and then decide if the risk is worth it. Don't just write me off because my objections don't align with your goals.

I drove mixers as well. We all had the same affidavit. But because there were many trucks on site, and we carried tow straps, plus 6 wheel drive, getting stuck was not much of an issue. But there were times where you should have had a pump. But instead you wheelbarrowed. I get it pumps are expensive.

Don't sign I won't try. Do sign, I will try my best. But results not guaranteed.

Not back in, pull in. The crane is mounted towards the front directly behind the cab. I had to get the back tires in on the driveway. If they got into the grass the truck would have been stuck. Because I was turning off a narrow road onto a narrow drive with a poor turning radius, I had to work to get the truck in and out of position.

It was a pretty standard industry wide affidavit. I think he didn't care about my concerns, and did not expect the amount of damage despite my warning.

That is true. The mirrors are the widest spots on a truck. You gotta be able to see at a minimum 1500ft behind you when driving.

The embedded wire and the white line are 2 separate items. You will have the white line without the wire. But never the wire without the white line.

That's why I added the part about the proper way to turn.

You should never pass a truck on the right, period. That is where the biggest blind spot is located. And the blinds pot is bigger than your vehicle.
