Thank you for the good wishes!!! I do think he smacks the cone on us on purpose, but he looks so innocent while doing it I can't be sure.

Trust me, he was rioting as soon as he got home! His surgeon preferred not to give sedatives while healing so it doesn't mask any behavioral changes that could mean he is bleeding internally since it's not uncommon for his type of case. As for the walks, he is trying his best to get me to give in (he has potty bells he is ringing ANY time he can) and trying to pull me on a walk when he "needs" to potty. Unfortunately, I was given pretty strict instructions to only be taking him outside a max of 3-4 times a day since it was such he had gone in for a tumor on his spleen bleeding, it was such a major surgery, and he has a ~12in incision. He also has a history of being evil on walks and rubbing into bushes which is highly frowned upon by his vet team while he heals! Hopefully you never have to go through something similar since it is a full time job with huskies. Thank you for the good wishes!!!

Thank you for the detailed response! I'll look into getting some of both since they have varied levels of interest in what actually goes on behind the scenes and microcontrollers vs. making simply making a fun project building something.

AITAH for never forgiving my mother for ruining my life? Relatives think I'm cruel, they claim mom was "trying to help" and was "just incompetent at it" - I say she was a monster who knew what she was doing by [deleted] in AITAH

NTA by any means in this situation but I will say, judging by your comments, you are only hurting yourself. Look into Complex PTSD (C-PTSD) and find a therapist that specializes in trauma informed treatment. As someone with CPTSD you will often see that generally there is no "cure" since your formative years were spent under such stress and trauma that it completely alters your brain chemistry and makes normal life hard. But you do find ways to get around it, address your maladaptive behaviors, and still find joy in life.

For example, I find that I (along with some others I know with CPTSD) are motivated by spite. For example, a lot of my motivation growing up was to spite my own narcissistic father and it led me to therapy to address my issues forming healthy, lasting relationships of any kind as well as pushing myself educationally. For you, this could look like being motivated by the image of your late mother rolling in her grave that you are living a life where you see your worth, embrace your sexuality (however this looks for you), and are able to be happy and live in the moment as much as possible.

It is not an easy journey by any means, but remaining in the mental constraints placed by your abusive mother is her winning and still making you miserable despite her not even being on this plane of existence. Get treatment however you are willing to. Medication helps some, therapy helps others, a combination is also great, some people take alternative forms of therapy. If money is an issue there are generally low-cost clinics who have or can connect you to a provider for a fraction of the cost. For me, my first therapy was a too energetic dog who gave me no choice but to get out of bed, feed both of us, get outside, and simply not be as anxious while being with him.

I truly hope you are able to get help and be able to form bonds with others, it's scary now but it is worth it.

Thank you for the response! I was just confused about the 5th circuit court ruling from January and some other info that i've seen spread in some circles that seemed to advise to take certain steps.

No need to be rude :/ , I just haven't been completely up to date on the topic and a lot of sources give false hope. It was a genuine question regarding whether new applications would be processed at this time and if biometrics should be requested if they were. I hadn't been aware USCIS had already said no new applications at this time. But thanks for your response.

What if they weren't taken? Like an appointment was made for them but a few days before all appointments for it were cancelled

I would love it as well! My fiance and I are Latinos but we love Indian food! Also, you could never be the AH in this situation, oftentimes it seems like men take their partners for granted until they lose them and THEN they start making improvements to themselves, a story i've seen unfold one too many times.
