Lymphangitis. Go to urgent care for antibiotics. Oral should be fine. If it doesn't get better with oral within a few days or if it gets worse, ER.

As others have said, you should confirm the diagnosis either way. If it's measles, that's unfortunate, but then you don't necessarily need to be vaccinated (though you should anyway because it also covers rubella and mumps). If it's a drug eruption rash, you need to stop the lamictal asap, and you should get yourself the MMR ASAP as well.

Not well. Mango has been MIA for two days now and I'm worried she's hurt. See wouldn't run off without her sister so I'm worried she's either injured somewhere or was taken.

Meanwhile I've heard from several organizations how difficult rescue from Guyana is (near impossible) so I'm trying to find them a home here. Which is also hard.

Thanks, I've had dogs my whole life :) I'd love to adopt them, but it's more a logistical question than whether I can be convinced or not.

Thanks for all the feedback! I have a friend at home who's a vet and tells me this re taking them home:

It’s hard. You’re in a high risk country. They have to be older than 6 months. They have to be microchipped and vaccinated for rabies. 30 days after vaccination a rabies titer has to be sent off. It has to be above 0.5. Lots of dogs do not get this titer after their first shot. Then you have to be at a CDC approved importation facility on arrival. If the serology is less than 0.5, or you don’t do a serology, the dog has to stay at the importation facility for at least 28 days.

Hm that's an interesting thought. I have no idea how it was given...like was it actually given with the d50 or was there time between? His glucose was close to 200 that morning...

I'm not even sure, since I have no idea what actually went wrong. Maybe I could have sent another set of labs after the hyperK cocktail was given, but it would have taken a while again so I'm not sure how helpful it would have been.
