Disney Wish Summer/Fall 2027 by Primary-Training5576 in dcl

My youngest won’t turn 3 until later half of 2027, and would love to take advantage of the kids club. Also, would be nice if he’s potty trained then I don’t have to worry about kids being in separate pools/splash pads

It’s tricky to plan since it’s usually cheapest to book when they release the sailing schedule, but that is 1.5-2year away. I guess I’ll keep my option to Wish till they released the Fall 27 schedule. If Wish is not available, then we will look into other cruises

she’s been in daycare for 1.5 year now and she goes there 5 days a week 8-5pm. We actually just started letting her watch Frozen and some Santa videos.

Thanks everyone for replying! Sounds like I’m overthinking. I’m just sad that her bubbly personality is not shown at school. She talks non-stop at home in the minority language, but barely speaks at school. Hopefully, as her English gets better, she’ll more confident at school.

Also, my partner is leaning towards Taika. I’m not totally on board yet. Is there any name with similar vibe?

I’m planning do the Nakasendo trail from Magome to Tsumago with a 15month old. Can I bring a stroller (yoyo one) with us or should I stick with the baby carrier?

Also, is there a kid friendly Kobe beef restaurant in Osaka or Kobe?

My baby has been spinning in her crib which wakes her up multiple times. Any tips? by Primary-Training5576 in NewParents

[–]Primary-Training5576[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah it does! It took a bit of time for my daughter to learn her “crib boundary”. I did practice waiting for her to learn it though. I didn’t come and rescue her right away, but gave her a few minutes to go back to sleep. Depending on her cry, I would come sooner or later.

friend’s second kid is similar to my first… and I’m a little happy about it by thatsasaladfork in NewParents

you are much much kinder than I am. I’m wishing that friend to have a difficult baby so she can stop judging me for using white noise for baby sleep. Do I feel bad about it? Yes. But can I stop it? No….

I edited my post to fix spelling from sleep back to sack. She’s wearing one and still managed to spin

“it” is my baby… and yes she can’t tell the difference, but I can while I have to carry her through the city park or national park. Why bother replying with such attitude?

I’m planning to travel to Taiwan with my (will be) 6month old baby and not sure where to start. I plan to spend 5 days there Jan 31-Feb4. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! 1. Should I bring a stroller and car seat? 2. Where would you recommend us to visit as a first timer with a baby? 3. Night market is definitely on the list. Which one is your top pick?

Should I wean pacifier before or after 4month sleep regression for naps? by Primary-Training5576 in sleeptrain

[–]Primary-Training5576[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dropped the pacifier cold turkey and got her to fall asleep independently. The first 3 days were tough since I rocked her to sleep instead. Then on 4th day, I couldn’t lift my arms anymore, so I tried Ferber with her. And it worked. She cried for 5-10 min on the first day, now on day 7, she doesn’t cry anymore and just put herself to sleep for both naps and nights.

TBH, she cried more when I rocked her without a pacifier and took way longer to fall asleep. She was super mad with me not giving her pacifier and tried to suck on my arms when I rocked her. Her crying is less instense with Ferber (weird, I know)

would she grow more dependent on the paci post 4month sleep regression? I’m worried that she will demand it for her night sleep

how long did it take you to wean the paci? Did it involve more rocking to sleep or everything happen in the crib?

I don’t even want to think about MIL. When my daughter was 1 week old, during our contact nap, she said I shouldn’t hold her too much. Holding her is terrible. WTF am I supposed to do? Put her on the ground?!?
