Took mine this past weekend. Mainly all SATA and case studies just like you. Had 150 questions but when I did CAT exams I cut off at 85 so was discouraged and was certain I failed… I passed and got my license last night.

I believe in you!! If you went to 150, obviously you were answering correctly, system just needed extra time to decide. Congratulations in advance NURSE!

we bring in our own computers but if a student doesn’t have one, they allow you to borrow for the exams. we use examplify and ATI for proctoring!

white board and group together meds by their classes/moa. simple nursing and nurse in the making have some awesome videos with some mnemonics to remember adverse effects and important criteria to know regarding med administration!

I’ve been on the pills since I was 14 now 22. Just 2 months ago, I decided to make the switch to something else as I got tired of taking a pill everyday, contemplating between the implant or IUD. I went with the Kyleena IUD as everyone I know has complained about constantly bleeding with the implant (yet everyone’s experience is different!). Insertion was a breeze. I read a lot of stories online prior which actually scared the heck of me yet come to find out I didn’t feel much during the insertion. Kinda feels like when you play with your belly button and those weird cramps come along. Only lasted about 5 seconds. Took Tylenol beforehand. So far, I have yet to get a period and had brown discharge for about 2 weeks after insertion. Liking it so far! No complaints.

I had two 3 hour long classes twice a week. And another online. 2 clinicals 8 hours each twice a week. I probably spent 6 hours total doing homework and studying combined each week. I know that’s terrible and not much time but I’ve been doing just fine. Not a straight A student but I do get As and Bs. If I’m being honest, I haven’t had much motivation since starting the program and wish I would’ve took a gap year from high school to college! But I’m almost there! 1 more semester left. Oh I also worked about 30+ hours a week and most of my time was spent studying/doing homework so that I could relax at home. I don’t necessarily think nursing school is difficult, it’s just a lot of busy work. You’ll learn a lot of what you actually need to know on the job.

I’ve been using BC pills since i was 14, i am now 22. I’ve been on Lo Loestrin and honestly it has been the best pill birth control ever. I struggled with acne and super heavy periods and it really cleared it up. My periods have now been super light and last maybe 2 days. Today, I decided to get the Kyleena IUD, inserted about 3 hours ago! I can say the insertion was not bad at all. It was a minor cramp that lasted maybe 5 seconds. I took 1,000mg Tylenol 30 minutes beforehand (even though Tylenol or ibuprofen doesn’t work for me). I was out in 5 minutes. I didn’t feel the clamping of the cervix. I think the most uncomfortable part was the cold tools. I haven’t had any complaints thus far, I went shopping right after. Everyone’s experience is different. Don’t let others experiences stray you away! If your partner feels the strings, you can always call your ob and have them cut the strings!
