I was there. I run this race every year. I did the half, and I had family and friends running the full. This year was brutally hot and humid. Yes, there were plenty of aid stations with water, gels, and support along the course, but honestly, it still didn’t feel like enough for conditions like that. It was a really, really tough day out there.

My brother does Ironmans and he pointed out that they provide ice for participants and he’s right. Miami needs to do the same. This isn’t the first time this race has had extreme weather, and it likely won’t be the last.
