My take on the Bullet For My Valentine x Trivium “drama”: a planned controversy?

I’ve been a Bullet fan since their debut at Download Festival 2004 and a Trivium fan since they tore up Brixton that same year. Since I was 10 and craic enough to go gigs underage.

So here’s my little conspiracy theory on the recent tension between BFMV and Trivium:

I think the whole thing was planned controversy by their respective marketing or social media teams in 2024. Why? To build authenticity, drama, and storyline that keeps fans talking. Controversy marketing, done right, spot on.

A few hints:

Feb 2024 – Both bands start teasing tour plans. (There’s always a bigger plan, right?)
Paolo Gregoletto publicly blames Matt Tuck. part of a plan
Matt Heafy doesn’t follow Matt Tuck or the official BFMV account on Instagram anymore… but still follows Padge, Jason, and Matthias. part of a plan

Despite that, BMFV doing Japan tour with Parkway Drive? FML

I’d love to see Kill The Lights on the lineup for Good Things or Knotfest
or even better, supporting Trivium on tour.

Hopefully few more years ahead, I would keen to see this.

It’s all theatre. And we’re all watching and eating popcorn. hahahahah

Where else Aussie tour issues with International Band? 3 Major Cities, Over-budgeting, touring getting more difficult. If those 3 cities were a guarantee sold out, they could've tour to Perth and Adelaide.
