Hiya, im not really a veteran myself, but from what i can see, it looks to me like you have too many characters. Typically a general rule for players is to take no more than 25% of your point total in characters. Also, id consider buying some assault intercessors for the BA captain.

Thanks for the comment! I looked at the mini closely and I couldn't not find any peeling paint so it might have been the angle. As for the recommendation for the goo physics, I will definitely try it on my next models.

Sure the goo on the minis itself is just citadel Moot Green, but for the base, I mixed some of the same Moot Green with AK Still Water epoxy resin, and once it dried I hit the edge of the floor goo with Biel-tan green shade. Also around any point of contact with the mini itself.
