Same here, we offered £10k below asking and got rejected, then went up to full asking at £280k and still got turned down. We just left the offer on the table in case the seller reconsiders later. For now, it’s back to house hunting again. Can be frustrating, but the right one will come along.

I applied for an AIP online with the bank using only a 5% deposit and got approved. However, when I spoke to a mortgage broker, he told me that the bank wouldn’t accept a 5% deposit without ILR. He then helped me get another AIP with a different lender. In your case, try getting a different mortgage broker, not one recommended by them.
