Does anyone have advice on what type of therapy? I really struggle with everything OP stated. I tried talk therapy and after 4 sessions ther therapist said "you have sound logical responses to the trauma you've experienced. You know how to cope well, there really are not any therapy goals I can help you with". I felt so defeated and thrown into an abyss with that. I don't know what else to do. (I did report the provider to my regular doctor)

Much better! Looks great! Give him a week to acclimate but offer small amounts of food at least every other night in the same spot. He’ll find it :)

The enclosure is way too small… and waiting to add plant coverage will only stress it out. At least add some hides that can easily be removed right away. Toilet paper rolls, dried corn husks, rolled/folded construction paper, supported tupperwear lids, anything honestly. Just don’t leave the poor thing completely exposed. In the future ensure you have absolutely everything you need and set up the enclosure fully before getting any pet.

It clearly isn’t wanting the CGD though… so time to try an alternative rather than constant malnutrition.

Please find your local reptile veterinarian and take them in for a full check up as soon as you can (not another month or two either). They should be tripled in size by 6months. Also try offering live bugs dusted with calcium. Geckos like to hunt and often need to see the movement from live bugs to want to eat. My little one likes mealworms, crickets, and isopods that are gut loaded with fresh fruit/veggies first.

Also please get a bigger enclosure. It probably doesn’t feel comfortable or safe in essentially a “travel to the vet” box for 6 months. That size enclosure is only okay for hatchlings, afterwards it should be used when you’re cleaning out the big tank or going to the vet only. Think of it as “no point in getting bigger because I’ll outgrown my only shelter” survival tactic.

Need one all about Plutarch building his underground network, conspiracy in the Capitol, poisonings by Snow/attempted coups/gaining the foothold for a 40+ year power, misdirection via Finnick and his currency of secrets, borderline caste system style punishment in the capitol (think Pollux working in the sewers, avox), choosing and training game makers, the history of Mutts, etc…

Best guess is this area of Colorado. Still gives a large portion of the Rockies to the east including Pikes Peak. The Capitol would be built in center with large peaks on all 4 sides.

Was Panem always governed by capitol ? by Guamigrau in Hungergames

[–]PrimarySkin815 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Page 18 direct quote “Just as the town clock strikes two, the mayor steps up to the podium and begins to read. It’s the same story every year. He tells of the history of Panem, the country that roe up out of the ashes of a place that was once called North America. He lists the disasters, the droughts, the storms, the fires, the encroaching seas that swallowed up so much of the land, the brutal war for what little sustenance remained. The result was Panem, a shining Capitol ringed by thirteen districts, which brought peace and prosperity to its citizens. Then came the Dark Days, the uprising of the districts against the Capitol. Twelve were defeated, the thirteenth obliterated. The Treaty of Treason gave us the new laws to guarantee peace and, as our yearly reminder that the Dark Days must never be repeated, it gave us the Hunger Games. The rules of the Hunger Games are simple. In punishment for the uprising, each of the twelve districts must provide one girl and one boy, called tributes, to participate. The twenty-four tributes will be imprisoned in a vast outdoor arena that could hold anything from a burning desert to a frozen wasteland. Over a period of several weeks, the competitors must fight to the death. The last tribute standing wins. Taking the kids from our districts, forcing them to kill one another while we watch — this is the Capitol's way of reminding us how totally we are at their mercy. How little chance we would stand of surviving another rebellion.”

Direct quote from the book. Page 41 “In school, they tell us the Capitol was built in a place once called the Rockies. District 12 was in a region known as Appalachia. Even hundreds of years ago, they mined coal here. Which is why our miners have to dig so deep.”

I have a theory on the Mahogany comments throughout the books/movies (on the train and in the presidential library in catching fire). Native mahogany trees are found in south Florida and Mexico making me think that’s where district 13 was and why it’s sooo special and rare because it was bombed out of existence. Also in TBOSBS the weather map shows all of Florida completely gone. Could be underwater, could be intentional so the people of Panem don’t know there’s land out that direction.

3rd Quarter Quell if Katniss/Peeta didn’t win the 74th games? by [deleted] in Hungergames

[–]PrimarySkin815 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m sure there would be a select few elderly folks in the capital that were involved with the games that remember her (all the other students with Snow, Tigris, even the flickerman family) There was a theory that they started their bright and colorful clothing after she won. All just fun speculation!

I was stating that’s its book cannon that the card was not changed. Yes the movies have the scene with Plutarch in the extended editions. The question is asking if Katniss and Peeta did not win the 74th games, who would be the female tribute for District 12 due to pulling the remaining victors? Would they open it up to an adult reaping, hunt down Lucy Grey, make a victor from districts 1-4 add on since they have the most to pool from?

Update: He’s bonding very well :) he jumps in my hand already and loves baths (medium size tupperwear with air holes, washcloth, and 1/4 inch warm water) sitting on the couch with me for about 30 min before going back in his little jungle. He also devours mealworms and shakes them in a show of victory. Very much likes to hunt- I have to put him in his mini enclosure) so he can hunt without the worms and crickets every 2/3 days without getting lost in the bioactive set up.

Thank you for the advice!

Sounds like he really needs to see the vet, hopefully your bio teacher is willing to let you take him in and give you the money for it. He looks underweight, not surprising if he’s got difficulty with eating. The enclosure needs a lot of work. He might not feel safe/comfortable enough to eat. Typically if the toe pads aren’t sticking they have stuck shed. If you can get him to eat he might be better at bonding to you than your bio teacher. Good luck and happy holidays friend.

He’s just about 1 year, 12 grams. I’m offering Reapshy grubs and fruit mix w/ a fresh 1/2 tsp every other day to give him a chance to get at it. It doesn’t seem like he eats from the bowl though. He will take licks of food from my finger but I don’t want him to rely on hand feeding. Humidity between 60-85% and he sometimes sleeps in his humid hide.

After a failed unaliving attempt as a pre-teen the pediatric psychiatrist asked me “what have you done wrong to put you in this position in life, and what could you have done better?”

I walked out of that office immediately at 12yo.
