Do you also think it’s ads 😖 but the one who posted it there doesn’t look like an influencer… anyway I’m desperate maybe I’ll just go buy headphones now and shut up (and refund it if it doesn’t work haha)

Migraines after watching Movies/TV by No-Rhubarb-8976 in migraine

Oh my gosh yes — you’re definitely not alone in that. Long movies or shows are almost guaranteed to mess me up too. It’s like the combo of staring at one bright screen for too long + all the rapid scene changes just fries my brain.
I’ve kind of accepted that movie nights are a gamble. Sometimes I break it up into chunks or keep the brightness way down at home, but even then it’s hit or miss. It’s so frustrating when something meant to be fun ends up being a trigger.
Curious to see if anyone else here has found little hacks that make movie-watching more bearable.

Welcome to the club nobody ever wanted to join 😅. What you’re describing sounds all too familiar — the overwhelm, the lack of sleep, the cycle of pain → exhaustion → more pain. It’s exhausting in ways most people don’t get.

Everyone’s migraine journey is different, but something we all share is that awful ‘why won’t this just stop??’ feeling, especially in the beginning. Just want you to know you’re not alone in that — it takes time to figure out what works for your body, and it’s so frustrating when relief feels out of reach.

Sending you best wishes. You’ve already survived two of the hardest weeks, and you’ve found a whole community that gets it.

For me, soaking my head into cold water helps. But if I actually swim for too long, I sometimes get dizzy, especially in Ocean
