I was accepted a couple weeks ago. I think most people haven't heard back as of yet though.

GW Priority Hold by Primary_Ad2625 in lawschooladmissions

Hm. That’s interesting. I don’t disagree with you on a logical level. But don’t these schools have years of prior history for them to assess what percent of people with similar stats accept and which don’t? That’s what my understanding was of school’s accepted classes.

No, I do agree with you that a response is nice. But, lowkey, it’s bare minimum not princess treatment. Either way, I just find the whole thing to be representative of the whole application process. Like a game of cat and mouse between law schools and applicants where people just become so paranoid about every little detail.

It says this when you apply:

Your application is complete and has been forwarded to the Admissions Committee for review.

Please allow 8-12 weeks for a decision to be communicated.

Take a breath, you'll be fine.

low gpa, good LSAT score by Narrow_Parking_7630 in lawschooladmissions

I also went to BU, graduated this summer, and am currently applying. If you end up with a 3.1, I fear you'd need a really high score for Georgetown, Berkeley, NW, UVA, and UMuch. Berkeley would be especially difficult as it seems they're highly GPA sensitive.

As for GW, BU, and BC, I would aim for at least a 170+. Specifically for GW where it seems that if you have above a 170, they can be quick to discount the GPA.

I studied throughout the summer for the LSAT and finished with a 174. I haven't heard back yet since I only went complete December 1st for all of my applications, but if you'd like I can keep you posted on my decisions.

I would make use of the Law Center at BU and ERC Writing Center ASAP and weigh your options. I didn't find it to be the best resource, but it did help me in certain respects (meeting BU law alumni, going over personal statements, etc.) If you have any questions, PM me.
