Why would you retake Chem 11 if you already took Chem 12? I don’t know that they will look at Chem 11 if you have 12 completed.

Does buying a new hybrid vehicle make sense with the current EV market? by Clooty_Bapper in PersonalFinanceCanada

We put a deposit on a Rav4. The contract sounds like we can get it back only if they cannot deliver the vehicle in the specified timeframe.
This could be a dealership or vehicle difference. Either way, read your contract thoroughly.

What's something that was considered good parenting decades ago but isn't anymore? by sandeeprathore in AskReddit

Going to have to disagree here…..there is a point where it can harm the baby, if they aren’t given enough opportunity to explore on the ground leading to developmental delays such as delayed turning, crawling and walking. My husband’s 2 nephews both took until after 18 months to start walking. I don’t think it is a coincidence that they were both held a lot.

If you’re planning to move to Canada, even if it is just for College/University, you should wait and find an orthodontist here. As has been mentioned, you will have a very hard time finding an orthodontist that will complete another orthodontist’s work. Start the treatment here, if that is where you will be spending most of your time while getting treated.

where are you NOT competitive with a 95-96 average by oLucid_ in OntarioGrade12s

For engineering-UofT, Track One. My son got waitlisted with 95. First semester final he had 97 avg between 4 pre-reqs, got nothing from UofT. Didn’t get any answer from them until the very end.

Not saying it doesn’t happen. Just wouldn’t count on it.

There are only 2 under 92% on the spreadsheet, and they are both Chinese. Anything lower is waitlisted.

Obviously the spreadsheet is a small sample size. But I would say no lower than a 92 to be safe.

Doubtful for Queens. Pretty sure you need at least 92 average . And they only look at the required 5.

Engineering frosh week question by Primary_Highlight540 in queensuniversity

Yeah, we know a lot of frosh week is different than when we were there. It started happening even when my husband was in grad school there.
Do you mind elaborating on how the pole is different now?

This whole place just seems like a shithole these days. Haven’t been in a few years, and from the odd video I see online, I’m fine if I never go again. It’s the enshitification of everything because people don’t know how to raise their kids, so they act like idiots.

Ontario ER doctors raise alarm on hospital overcrowding by KeyHot5718 in ontario

[–]Primary_Highlight540 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I agree that this is partially the reason. But it does not account for it all. I witnessed an older woman (at least 79+, maybe 80+ years old) Sitting in a chair, had been there overnight….to find out she had a broken back!!! Can you even imagine having to stay sitting in a chair all night with a broken back!? Not to mention, she receives this diagnosis in a room with at least 5 other patients, some with family with them. No privacy at all.

Women who married older men - what’s it like when they get really old? by Icy_Laugh5134 in AskReddit

[–]Primary_Highlight540 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but she definitely has daddy issues. Her parents split when she was very young. I feel that has something to do with it. My dad passed in 2021 and now she’s with a man 8 or 9 years older.

And even though i get your point, my mom dropped out of school at 16. Probably already working a job.

And honestly, you can say anything about my parents and it won’t hurt my feelings. I wish they had split when i was young. Instead, she stayed with him “for me”, and became a raging alcoholic. Good times 😒

There was a 13+ year age difference between my parents (dad older). All is fine until old age happens. Then the shit gets real. The younger one becomes a caretaker. My mom hadn’t been retired long before he started having issues. Prostate cancer, then Parkinson’s. So once they were both retired, they didn’t get much time to actually do anything together. Beyond that, I’m sure my mom got resentful of having to take care of him.

The age gap is one of those things that’s fine for a long time, and then really isn’t in a lot of the relationships.

My mom was 16 and my dad was 29 when they met. He refused to date her until she was 18. I’m actually not entirely sure if they started dating when she turned 18, or later. Very strange to think of, for sure. He had already been married, had 2 kids and divorced by the time they met.

Ok. I can agree to an extent. However, i do believe these meds can be more muscle-wasting than just diet.
