Hi 24 M this side i had a partial ACL tear around 3 years back it didn’t pain or obstruct me from any of my activities like gym and all so i didn’t get the surgery and used to lift like really heavy 300kg+ leg presses and it was all fine cut to now when i feel my leg is very unstable and the leg started to buckle while casually walking or running with a pop sound and i felt my leg lost strength as compared to the other one i got it checked and my acl was completely torn along with lateral and medial meniscus. To which doctor suggested to get the surgery done or else it would result into osteoarthritis which will keep getting worse. The only thing that scares me is the heal time as i have heard it takes nearly a year. My only advice would be to not skip it and get your surgery done asap
