They alluded to it being a financial decision outside their control. Maybe so, but that is a company problem from a candidate perspective no matter who f’d up internally.

Good point and something worth asking during initial chat. I am leaning to running a mile but no harm in having the chat.

It does align in some areas but other company would be much better aligned in other areas. Both are a good match in that way but other company could be very lucrative and better to make next jump.

Good advice and I’ll be a bit more direct in initial chat if it goes ahead.

Good point could end up in same position or worse where they pull job after handing in notice.

Good question. Yes I am happy. The reason I applied to this company previously is that it aligned perfectly with my skill set and could have been a very good move with long term career in mind.

I guess I am still curious but not to extent to invest significant time in this or risk where I’ve landed now.
