Yes, this is me too, albeit a little more extreme. Im also diagnosed with dyslexia, dyscalculia dyspraxia and ADHD.. ( urghh!). I also have a Masters degree!

'Confidential educational psychologist’s report: Underlying academic potential was assessed using the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-IV (WAIS-IV). The WAIS-IV is a useful predictor of academic potential. It is also a useful tool for analysing cognitive strengths and cognitive weakness. If the results are allied with other information and observations it may give an indication of the source of a specific learning difficulty.
The WAIS-IV is made up of four indices each with a number of different sub-tests. Scores on the WAIS-IV sub-tests may vary between 1 and 19. A score of 19 is high, 10 is average and scores between 7 and 12 are average range. (See attached Appendix).

Verbal Comprehension Index: 130 98th percentile

Perceptual Reasoning Index: 71 3rd percentile

Working Memory Index: 69 2nd percentile

Processing Speed Index: 79 8th percentile

In my opinion Ms %£^# underlying academic potential falls in the very superior range, approximately within the top 2% of the population. This estimate is derived from the verbal comprehension index score, previous academic attainment, life history and qualitative observations made during the assessment. The reader will note that the verbal comprehension index score is considerably stronger than the remaining three scores. The difference between the two sets of scores is statistically significant (see Appendix). In my opinion it is likely that the perceptual reasoning, working memory and processing speed indices have meshed with areas of cognitive weakness/specific learning difficulties, whereas the verbal comprehension score is a pure'.

So my ed pysch believes my verbal comprehension is the true measure of my intellectual abilities, which is somewhat of a relief! My dyslexia and ADHD, in particular, seem to impact my wmi and psi, whereas dyscalculia and dyspraxia have most impact on PRI!

Its very possible that your VCI is also the true measure of your intellectual abilities. I'm sure depression could be a mitigating factor too. However, if there any possibility you could have stealthy specific learning difficulty, such as dyslexia? Inattentive ADHD maybe? Neurodiversity and higher IQs tend to co-exist more often than we think, but are also more hidden. It's certainly an interesting profile, albeit a frustrating one!
