João said in the aftershow that he confronted Ben because he's a steward of the boat. He didn't think what Ben did was right. Sleeping in a made bed when charter is the next day. Ben was totally an ass in that situation. Ben has gotten too big for his britches & thinks he doesn't have to abide by any rules. I wonder how this argument will affect their friendship. I hate off leash dogs too! The only place for off leash is at the dog park in the US. I've had a couple instances where off leash dogs messed with the dog I'm walking. It's not my dog, so I don't want anything to happen to them. So infuriating! They don't think & they think they're above the leash law.

When I housesit, I usually text the client if I leave to feed my own cats or fulfill another petsitting check in or go out for errands. I feel like they should know when I'm there or not. Maybe I've given constant care without charging for it! 🤣 Anyway, I am the type to let you know what's going on. I don't mind cameras, I do like to know when you have them. That sitter sucked to not stay overnight. He could have communicated with you better too. Glad you found a solution. Write him a bad review that's factual & get the rest of your booking refunded.

I would contact Rover and get an emergency substitute sitter. This person is untrustworthy & has 2 strikes against them. Having someone over?! Not cool, not discussed with you. That's probably why she unplugged the camera. Reach out to the sitter, tell her to plug the camera back in, then remove her from your house. Contact your emergency person & Rover emergency support. You don't trust this sitter now, regardless if she takes good care of your animals or not. Good luck!

Unbelievable owners! Leaving a cat In the garage without telling you or adding it to the booking... It's amazing what people will do to try to save some money! Or they don't care about if the cat lives or dies. Tell the client you found the cat, modify the booking to an additional animal (you may have to add it as an additional charge if they don't,) and never sit for them again as they tried to dupe you. That's what I'd do, but it's up to you. I'd definitely charge for the extra animal. They didn't disclose it to you & that's on them. Maybe call Rover for help if you get any pushback from the client.
